Oh yeah, I use the maps all the time in terms of comparison. Back when I played Freelancer a lot more regularly, I always opened the map first off after starting that told me of approximate target routes and positions for elimination. In my headcanon, Diana has a drone overhead giving me Overwatch and a viewpoint of the area!

I’m hoping we get some new additions to Freelancer!

Ok, I’ve gotten a Twitch account, and I’ve linked it up with my IOI account. Is there something else that needs to happen for the unlock to happen, or do I just start watching a stream of someone playing The Drop when it… drops , and my IOI account will detect that and unlock the damned thing for me? Never done one of these before.

When The Drop… Drops.

1. make sure you’re following the campaign reward on the Twitch drop page.

2. “watch” a streamer with drops enabled for the specified amount of time the reward requires it. So long as a streamer has drops enabled it wont matter if they’re playing the ET or not.

3. Claim reward.

4. Profit.

Ok… how exactly am I following the “campaign reward,” what is the Twitch “drop page,” and how do I know when a streamer has drops enabled?

I’m expecting IO will release an exact step-by-step guide to follow to get the suit, so I’d just recommend waiting for that to arrive. I can’t imagine they will assume everyone will know exactly what to do.

The only thing I would probably recommend people do in advance is linking their Twitch account to the IO Account - because it might get overloaded if you wait until the day.

how do I know when a streamer has drops enabled?

You will see drops enabled in their Stream Title.

Reminder to link your Twitch Account prior to any announcements flood traffic to the already finicky IOI Accounts page.

I was getting constant “The Request Is Blocked” errors till I tried signing in through my phone. Though, if you have a VPN that might help too? Either way, do it sooner rather than later IMO.

Glad to see a new ET released tomorrow. A ET that is DJ fits well with the Berlin’s atmosphere.
But I don’t like the fact that you must subscribe on Twitch to get an item in Hitman. Luckily, it’s just another swap color of a suit, so personally, I don’t mind to no get it.
I’m not a fan of exclusive items. I like when a game proposes a possibility to recover all items.

We will be launching our first ever Twitch Drop on October 27th, The Purple Streak Suit. Earning this reward is simple. All you need to do is:

• 1. Link your IOI Account to your Twitch account.

• 2. Watch a cumulative 1 hour of HITMAN World of Assassination on Twitch between October 27th and November 3rd 2023.

I’m curious about that Twitch drop:

• Can we watch any Hitman WoA player or only a few specific channels handpicked by IOI?
• The description says we need to watch streamers play the elusive target. How would that work if channels are not handpicked? How would Twitch be able to distinguish ET gameplay from other Hitman WoA gameplay?
• Is that drop really only live on October 27? Usually these drops run for a few days.

Today’s patch notes answer my questions.

• We can watch any streamer that is playing Hitman WoA

  • They don’t need to play the ET
  • Streamers are not handpicked

• The campaign is live from October 27 through November 3.

Seven new challenges today!
One for Halloween, six for the Codename 47 challenge pack.
(Challenge pack, now that’s a name we haven’t heard in a long time)

Let’s start with the Halloween one, in Hawkes Bay.
Competing it will unlock the Jack-O-Lantern Suit.

• A Nightmare in Hawke’s Bay:
  • Eliminate 5 guards with the Bat Shuriken.
  • Achieve this in a single session.
  • Don’t get spotted.

The Codename 47 challenge pack is interesting.
First, obviously, Codename 47! Second they will make you go to maps from all three games. Third because are you need to do them in order.
The are each referencing one of the five locations/mini-campaigns/chapters of Codename 47.
Completing them will unlock the Codename 47 Suit.

(I kinda wish they were made as an escalation, or even as a special Freelancer campaign, for a streamlined and repeatable experience.).

In order you will need to go to (it’s the same order as Codename 47 campaign) :

• Chongqing

  • The Red Dragon
    • Eliminate any target in Chongqing, China with a headshot using a sniper rifle.
    • The shot must be taken fro the neon sign vantage point.
  • Reference to the Hong Kong chapter. The Kowloon Triads in Gang War mission is heavily suggested to be completed with a sniper, in a frankly iconic setup.

• Santa Fortuna

  • Say Hello to My Little Friend :
    • Complete “The Red Dragon”
    • Locate and obtain the Gold Idol in Santa Fortuna, Colombia
    • Use it to pacify the Shaman
  • Reference to the Columbia chapter. The Find the U’wa Tribe mission sees 47 retrieve an idol for the natives, in exchange for passage, and guidance to his target location.

• Bangkok

  • Tradition of the Trade :
    • Complete “Say Hello to My Little Friend”
    • Eliminate any target in Bangkok, Thailand, by drowning
  • Reference to the Budapest chapter. The Tradition of the trade mission sees the elimination in an hotel, drowning in the bathhouse, or eliminating in the bathroom are some of the more visible opportunities.

• Berlin

  • Explosions run Loose :
    • Complete “Tradition of the Trade”
    • Eliminate 5 ICA agents with explosives during the Apex Predator mission in Berlin, Germany
    • Eliminations must be performed during one session
  • Reference to the Rotterdam chapter. The bikers from the Gunrunner’s Paradise mission, the explosive component from the Plutonium Runs Loose mission.We unfortunately cannot just nuke the whole map.

• Carpathian Mountains

  • The Setup :
    • Complete “Explosions run Loose”
    • Eliminate all guards on the train during the Untouchable mission in the Carpathian Mountains, Romania
    • End it all by taking a trip memory Lane
  • Reference to Romania, the epilogue chapter. The Meet Your Brother mission has 47 going through a lot of his cloned “brothers”. Potentially with a mini-gun, something we direly miss in the modern game

Completing those five challenges, will unlock the final sixth master challenge Codename 47.
