Seriously, my only hope is that it in some way brings dual wielding to the main game. I still can’t believe it’s not an option.
Sounds fun but I don’t have VR equipment
What a joke, we’ve been asking for years for dual wielding and now it’s only for some bullshit VR?
They are probably paid by Facebook/Meta to make it just so they have something to attract people.
I really don’t care that much about dual pistols, I just want the original Silverballer and the WA2000.
R93 would do too or the Kazo
Not necessarily. At this stage it’s the only place it’s announced to be coming.
The only thing I really loved about it was Greys voice in the trailer
Honestly, dual wielding is great but just for VR with weird graphics? I hope it is just a start for dual wielding to come for the regular game, too…
WOA was never really about combat, it was about the refinement of the stealth gameplay experience, so the only place it makes sense to have dualies is in portions of the game IO don’t want to encourage. Even in Absolution, it was a painful rig-ma-roll switching between 1 and 2 silverballers on the fly. It was kind of inevitable that dual wielding would be left behind.
That said, i’m sure Freelancer mode is the reason why dual wielding is being brought back at all as managing combat situations is a big part of that mode, and I even recall suggestions on here for it to be freelancer-specific (which I am against because, frankly, that’d be stupid, at that point, make it game-wide).
My thoughts are pretty similar to the Batman: Arkham Shadow announcement, I guess it’ll be cool for people who have Meta Quest 3, but I’ll likely never get it.
Considering it’s got a $30 price tag and it’s just called “Hitman 3”, it seems like it’ll just be the Hitman 3 stuff. But how much of Hitman 3? The main missions yes, but what about all the challenges and items? The escalations, both free and the Deluxe/7DS? Any Elusive Targets? Contracts mode? Ambrose Island? Freelancer? Could you even do the side stuff in VR on the other versions?
Regarding using guns in VR… One time I waited for Desantis to come down to the lab. I hid behind one of those air units (or w/e). When trying to kill her with a headshot… There’s no reticule (obviously?) so when I thought I was aiming for her head - it would miss! I couldn’t understand why it wasn’t working… I don’t think I even hit her once.
And don’t get me started on how ugly and painful it is to use sniper rifles.
Maybe I need to close one eye when aiming for pistol headshots. Seriously. It was like there was a moment of double vision happening.
Eh, anyway. Hopefully and surely these issues aren’t present in this version.
Maybe by introducing dual wielding in VR mode y’all will finally understand why it’s so impractical in any real world scenario! Sure it looks sorta cool in movies but it doesn’t work in actual practice.
You sound like the kind of person who’s never fired your gun up in the air and gone, “aaaah!”
I tend to keep my aim downrange. I would never fire a gun up into the air and anyone that would is damned irresponsible.
I don’t know what that means.
That is most likely your issue.
RE8 VR tells you to use your dominant eye, set in the settings to aim your guns.
You can sometimes spray and pray at enemies right in front of you, but I find myself hitting way more shots by closing one eye
Whos going to play this? Is any of you guys here own a Meta Quest and why?
It’s good to see the VR being improved
HITMAN in VR definitely deserves much more than that promising tech demo
Looking forward to more improvements and updates on Steam
I own a Quest 2 since family wanted to try out VR and it looked like a solid starting point. It never got used much though and this H3 port seems to be exclusive to Quest 3, so I’ll skip anyway.
Honestly, I couldn’t care less about the VR aspect of this release. I’m more intrigued by the internet connection not being required…
