With transfer of achievements and such. Currently Hitman 3 misses a lot of achievements from the earlier games which would make sense to include and package in a new entry where everyone is guaranteed to own all content.
I know that apparently Freelancer’s contracts are seeded - basically it means a seed is generated at the start of each campaign that is how it tells the game where all the ingredients go. Think Minecraft. Which makes it interesting because maybe the seeds are based off of what you own? So if you dont own those two your seeds wont have those, or maybe theyll give access in Freelancer only ala how you can play Holiday Hoarders without the H1 access pass, so who knows?
I just want them to know that i’m worried for this franchise as if it was my baby and hoping they will take my suggestions into consideration. I’m taking all of this VERY seriously…
Exactly. And with restricting the purchase to one pack per game (full content with DLCs) to avoid anymore confusion regarding purchases. THAT would be the best compromise
I just want the best HITMAN experience for all of you folks (including myself)
The loss of gameplay changes that were made after H1/H2 were “done” isn’t that bad imo. If IO had been able to deliver the idea of “all under one roof” from the start, these would’ve been lost anyway as they would’ve been simply patched away long ago.
Respectfully, FUCK a lot of the old challenges from 1 and 2, thank god stuff like launching Sister Yulduz onto the Bangkok canopy or dumping 47 bodies into the ocean from Sgail was removed. One of the best things about 3 for me was that a lot of the more awful challenges that burnt me out on maps were cleaned up. If people really want to torture themselves with that stuff they can always procure the old games somehow, I’ll personally be mortified if my 100% completion of the trilogy is taken away because I have to do all that stuff again.
This is a really good point I hadn’t thought of. The weak performance of the episodic model is probably why we aren’t all playing on a patched version of the 2016 game anyways, and I think the series—mechanically and commercially—turned out better for it.
Haven’t gone through all the comments, but is there an option on EGS like there is on Steam to ‘complete the set’ if someone wanted to buy a certain mediocre DLC but already owned some of the DLC in that pack?
I hope the base package is pro-rated for access passes that I already own. Steam does allow that. I’d definitely buy Hitman 3 on sale if I wasn’t being asked to pay for stuff that I’ve already paid for previously.
For clarity, I mean the HITMAN – World of Assassination $70 USD package. If the price is $70 for that, and it includes H1 and H2 passes for $0 each, I wouldn’t be getting pro-rated (that’s bad). If the price is (for example) $40 and the H1 and H2 passes are $15 each for a total of $70, I could get pro-rated for the H1 and H2 passes and only pay $40.
Naturally you wouldn’t be able to buy any of this stuff separately - it’s the package or nothing - it would just be nice for people who’ve been holding off for whatever reason. (Me. I’ve been holding off. It would be nice for me.)
I’m thinking about this:
In current HITMAN3, new players would be asked whether they want to play tutorial levels or start from Dubai. But even when they choose to play tutorial levels, they will be sent to Dubai after finishing the Final Test. And to make things worst, the game will then play a recap video, spoiling the whole story of Season 1&2… I hope with HITMAN-WoA released this problem could be fixed, new players should be sent to Paris after the Final Test, and start playing from Paris if they choose to skip the turorial.
Proper accents?
Pardon me, I heard Spanish in Ambrose Island, that’s totally unrealistic. Andaman Sea is never a Spanish colony
Actually I doubt if IOI could tell the difference of South-East Asia and Latin America. They seem not know much about the culture and history of a non-west country
Dude, the pirates on Ambrose are just that: pirates. They leave their ships to join other pirate crews, and so come from all over the world. Not to mention, it’s relatively close to the Philippines and other colonies referred to as the Spanish East Indies. It is totally believable to have Spanish accents on Ambrose.
Perhaps now that they will finally have all the content permanently in one place, they might focus on some final polishing then?
Award it as an unlock for the Freelancer GOAT challenge, and we´re solid
Not if your pirate syndicate has members from Hispanic countries.
Regarding the preservation of standalone H1 and H2 versions (which I´m for), I agree the smoothest option would be to remove them from stores (to avoid confusing new buyers) but add them for free to your library after purchasing WoA.
I assume that pushing everyone to possess the complete Hitman content with all locations is because all locations will be available in Freelancer, and Freelancer is the focus for Hitman going forward.
