These kind of bugs frustrating me, because it takes literally years for them to fix.
I remember those flamingo slippers weared by one of IT guys in New York.
It took about two years I think to fix that
Now this guy has those big red boots or whatever they call it.
There was a long time when he was just feetless and rather floating in the air then walking

Platform: Steam, PC
Description : After pressing play in the launcher, I get an error saying “Failed to Initialize Steam.” After clicking “OK,” the window closes. I cannot play the actual game, although the launcher is functional. This bug started appearing after installing the Splitter Pack, the only mod I have is the Ansel Unlocker
Steps to reproduce: Open the launcher, press play.
Frequency : It always happens.
Hitman 3 will not open on Steam. I’ve cleared the cache and checked game file integrity. I’m at the point of reinstalling the game but do not want to start all over again. I would like to know if there is anything else I could do. Also, if I reinstall the game, will I have to start all over again?
Do you use mods by chance? Try this…

Did you try without that mod? I don’t think it’s compatible with the update…
Also make sure to try verifying files through Steam.
No, saves are stored separately (and your progress is mostly server side anyway with the always online requirement). Plus Steam probably has a cloud backup for you as well.
You should be able to hit uninstall and reinstall it through Steam without any issues.
Though like Tetra said if you use mods, some no longer work with the update so check that.

After verifying files through steam, it still occurs 
Verifying files does get rid of the mod (as it is a hex edit script), so I’m pretty sure the mod doesn’t do anything. All the mod changes is 2 values in the hex of the game, and the mod has worked perfectly previously, so I can’t imagine it’s hurting.
can you launch the game directly from the exe (try run as admin) or by using the “-skip_launcher” launch option?
Using the “-skip_launcher” argument, and running the launcher.exe as admin, resulted in the same error.
Did you create a ticket on the issue through HITMAN 3 Player Support?
No, I have not. Should I? I thought this was the correct place to ask this.
The link I gave you leads to official game support team which might be able to help or solve your problem with collaboration of the developers.

Description : I cannot start the game on steam, the game worked fine but overnight it just stopped starting
Steps to reproduce: Dont know, i tried a lot of thing but nothing worked, i contacted IO support but no reply yet, microsoft support was unnavible to help and said its an Isolated game issue and that there might be needed a patch

Description : Trending and Most Played Last Week contracts rarely update or change… and they seem to be the same list of contracts for the most part… the last update seems to be whenever IOI allowed contracts inbonus maps and ICA facility maps to be created.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Game Modes
- Go to Contracts
- look at Trending and Most Played Last Week
Frequency : ALWAYS
Can we get this to update?
There are many drawbacks to contract mode, and this is one of them.
It would have been nice if at least one of them was the “total number of weekly clears”.
In addition to this technical support report, I would like to mention a few features that I would like to see supported.

switching of recommended contracts on multiple pages
This is because the number of recommended contracts has increased and it has become difficult to access old pages, so I would like to be able to access old pages by skipping a few pages at a time, for example, 10 pages. -
when I search for a contract in the PS version and then switch to several pages, a disconnection error always occurs after about 10 pages.
As a result, there is no way to access older contracts.
I would like to see a “date and time of posting” or “author name” search function in the search function. -
I would like you to add a search result “only complete matches” as well.
In the current contract mode search results, mismatched items also appear as search candidates.
Therefore, coupled with the aforementioned disconnection after 10 pages, too many search results may result in a disconnection error.
I think it would be a little easier to search if the search results were narrowed down to exact matches.
These are the three points.
I know there is no hope for an update to the contract mode, but I would like to see it improved.
