Hitman (2016) has been officially verified by Steam.
I wonder if that was the Linux port or the windows version run through Proton.
You were too hurry buying the game, apparently
Ugh, this really sucks. Tagging in @Travis_IOI and @Clemens_IOI not because I expect anything done about it, but because itās presumably useful feedback in your roles as IOIās liaisons with the community that this is a real Feels Bad moment for some of your most committed fans.
Small aside: has IOI ever said if they plan on selling the trinity pack separately in the future?
Sadly, I donāt think weāll hear anything.
They are fully aware of the situation. People asked about it on their social media channels, on the Steam forums, and here. They answer other questions about the free upgrades for users who can benefit from their promotion, and all sorts of questions (demo issues, ā¦), and skip those from users who bought the whole thing like you and me, and who are unable to benefit from the current promotion.
Like they conveniently ignored all questions about the launch prices on Steam, while replying to others asking about launch times, or disk space needed for the whole package.
I fully expected the game to launch on Steam at full price, so in that sense I paid exactly what I expected to (I even put some funds on the side for 3-4 months, to cover the cost of the game + DLCs).
But, it obviously doesnāt make any sense that those who paid the most, are the ones getting no ārewardā at all.
I love IOās games, Iām a long time follower of their output (even outside of the Hitman games), so I obviously like them, but they really need to improve in a lot of ways. The way this whole trilogy was handled (for example, the whole thing with multiple packages causing all sorts of problems and confusion to users), and the mess that was the current Steam launch, clearly shows they need to step up a bit when it comes to the way they sell their games, and the ārelationshipā with their customers.
Itās perplexing how they do some things, without anticipating obvious problems and complications.
No i donāt think so, but i guess it will go on sale at some point this year, they canāt say it now, else people wouldnāt buy the game on Steam and wait for a sale
That really sucks, and is kinda unfair.
These are the terms of the deal as per IOI.
You should at least get the 7DS refunded. Itās not your fault they added this deal 7 full days after launch, with many opportunities to play 2+ hrs.
IO would be stupid to not sell it. More than enough people have said they would want to buy it, making it more than worth the small amount of time it would take to get it up for sale.
Itāll happen when it happens I guess, but Iād be very surprised if it never happens.
Kind of annoying Steam users will apparently forever have āMissedā on all the previous Elusive Targets.
I think there will be another round of reactivations at some point where we could get to play them.
Or we can ask Travis or Clemens to shed some light on the situation if they want, and most important have something to say on a subject
Just a question is anyone finding Hitman 3 less polished than Hitman 2 ?. For example NPC floating over chairs, some scripts failing to initiate like when you remove the power cell in the art exhibition in Dubai sometimes the technicians just stand there and donāt react until reloading a save. The same thing happens with a target in Berlin. There are a lot of other glitches that I encountered in just 20 hours of play time that I have never come across in Hitman 2 which I have over 200 hours on.
Overall, I donāt think so. There have always been glitches since Hitman 1 (NPC floating, wallhackā¦) but what is more complicated with Hitman 3 is there are many more things to track for IO because of the ā3 games in 1ā package. But I remember getting more issues with Hitman 2, especially on PC, about general stability, performances, crashes and bugs (I still have my Q42018 PC build with the same specs).
In terms of performance I agree Hitman 3 runs much better than Hitman 2 at launch, but I would chalk this up to the game shipping with DX12 by default which Hitman 2 didnāt support till much later .
But Iām positive that Hitman 3 at least on my pc exhibit much more glitches than I ever encountered before. But maybe itās just luck that I got so many glitches in such a condensed period
Does anyone else find that the steam servers seem to constantly disconnect? Iām trying to run through the featured contracts and inevitably, I get disconnected. My internet is fine, but Iāve been disconnected at least six times in the last couple of hours.
Yes, but in the weeks after release that has always been a problem.
In defense? No. Just the way it always was. Will resolve itself in the next few weeks
I played 14 hours on the Steam version and I didnāt have a single disconnection, but it seems that you are not the only one. Maybe Iām lucky, idk. There are a bunch of reports on xbox right now.
I was regularly disconnected in 2021. At least once a day for the first few weeks, then occasionally. And for the past several months, nothing to report on my end (I have a stable 1Gbp/s fiber).
@Travis_IOI I have such a question. Is the progress of steamH3 demo and steamH3 interconnected?
From my observation, H3 and demo are not the same app. They have different appID in the steam. Even if the carry forward of H2 progress is applied to both of them at the same time, I donāt know whether the progress of H3 and demo will be synchronized.
Judging from the processing method of demo, H3 is not very different from H1. Even if you still write demo as FSP, you can clearly see that the FSP of H2 is the real FSP. H2fsp and H2 belong to the same app, so the progress can be synchronized. But can H3 do it?
Although I canāt force you to say why you want to change such a good way as FSP back to demo, please at least solve the problem of progress. thank you!
