Ok, some thoughts:
As a concept, I don’t mind this. It’s a cool way to keep up player engagement, you get some very nice rewards by the looks of things from the escalations However…
In practice: This is just gonna cause confusion later on, as there will be eight DLC’s that essentially surmount to giving you access to some premium escalations. These should been part of the Deluxe Edition for a start, as all that gets you is atm is three D-escalations and a soundtrack, which is hilariously expensive. When you hear “Deluxe Edition”, I expect ALL Content to be there, not some of it cornered off into separate DLC’s as way to keep up player engagement. While these Deluxe Escalation may change the level in unique ways, these are side-content that exist to get suits and weapons, and IMO, aren’t really that replayable beyond release.
Expecting players to pay more money for content when Deluxe makes the game already quite expensive is untenable. We’re approaching COD:MW levels of price gouging. Even Payday 2, as much DLC as that has, offers more stuff for a similar price, and eventually combined old DLC’s into one package because of the massive list.
Kindly change this to a better system that benefits Deluxe owners, and either make the DLC’s cheaper, or outright make them Deluxe exclusive, because otherwise, this is just convoluted for the sakes of being convoluted and being, heh, Greedy. I will leave you to prepare IOI.
