I can’t help you but I’m very surprised about this because I didn’t knew! I was always wondering why they sometimes say who is there and sometimes not and thought it needs some special trigger.
Yesterday I found out it’s the same with Ambrose Island, Grey introduced Akka and Crest once, but everytime I played it again he said nothing. Well that explains a lot
Mod Request. Would it be possible to import the (disguise? or body/clothes) from Absolution, Tyler Colvin’s Cougars varsity jacket, and apply it to Noel Crest?
Instead of a complete time of day change, I wouldn’t mind a bit of “brightening” to the level’s current state.
I suppose it depends on a person’s screen, but for me I find everything a bit too dark. Especially the jungle areas.
There’s still a bit to work out, there are a lot of not good (indoor) areas I haven’t shown
That might be up the Lighting Ultimate mod’s alley
EDIT: I’ve just played around and one simple thing could probably brighten everything up in regular Ambrose: removing the colourcorrection from FX_PF_PostfilterController
It instantly made this daytime of mine brighter and less green
Deleting those files will likely cause you to lose all locally set data. That is, anything that isn’t backed up by the always online component will be unsaved. If you replay Dartmoor, you may be forced to exit via the default exit, as if it were your first playthrough. Same with Colorado’s first time required basement exit. In Dubai, all the elevators might become closed again. You will probably also have to re-acknowledge the privacy policy and possibly re-apply any setting customisations when starting the game.
Anyone having issues running Reshade with HITMAN 3? My game just instantly crashes, no window ever opens.
Installation is absolutely bare bones. Just install the first option. Haven’t installed any presets.
MSI afterburner and RivaTuner are both off.
Even turned off XBOX overlay just in case.
Tried renaming dxgi.dll to d3d12.dll.
Tried older versions of Reshade. (4.7 works but need 5.0+ with addon support)
Works fine with DX12 games Horizon Zero Dawn and HITMAN 2.
Not sure WHAT the issue is? sigh
The log file seems to be quite short IMO: https://justpaste.it/7yr7o
Edit: Event viewer also shows:
Faulting module path: E:\Games\Epic Games\HITMAN3\retail\dxgi.dll
Edit:
FINALLY! For whatever reason in a subsequent Reshade.log it showed that vrclient_x64.dll hook LoadLibrary was in the Steam directory.
.\Steam\SteamApps\common\SteamVR\bin\vrclient_x64.dll
Just renamed that to vrclient_x64.dll.bak and HITMAN 3 loads! Hopefully that isn’t essential. lol
Until “Lighting Ultimate” is updated with more refined adjustments…
This completely disables the shaders that draw the bloom decals and haze.
(Light rays are also affected as well as depth effect where far away scenery is lightened. Santa Fortuna, for example, looks horrible with this effect disabled.)
Download latest version of Reshade “with full add-on support” and install it to the Runtime folder with HITMAN3.exe. https://reshade.me/
Download ShaderToggler_v101.zip and drop the ShaderToggler.addon into your Runtime folder. https://github.com/FransBouma/ShaderToggler/releases/tag/1.0.1
Download the ShaderToggler.ini file to your Runtime folder. (Caps Lock toggle) https://www.dropbox.com/s/kj4ozcyi3814uqq/ShaderToggler.ini?dl=0

I do feel like there would be an better midpoint between the fog/bloom ones and the no fog/bloom ones. Without the fog it looks a little sterile and less atmospheric. Reminds me of indie 3D games a bit in that it kinda feels like I’m looking at the map in the level editor itself rather than through the atmosphere in the game.
That’s where the middle ground comes in.
Mine is just a quick fix. Doesn′t look too bad IMO on the new level but looks absolutely horendous on levels that have faraway scenery.
IOI have already made their choice about how they want to light their levels. It′s up to modders to ″fix″ (personal preference) it.
