The game is three hours away from launch and still no way to carry progress over from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3 and no way to claim Hitman 2016 and Hitman 2 for free for Hitman 3 on PS4. And on top of all that the unlock time of the game will be 8 hours late.
Unless you only have Standard Edition H2 on a disc, then there is nothing for you to redeem before release. They’re all redeemed in the in-game store within H3.
8 hours isn’t so bad. It’s going to be 26 hours “late” here in NZ.
There’s no point in carrying over progress 3 hours early if you can’t play the game until 13:00 UTC anyway, no need to moan about this. As long as the progress transfer website is online by 12:59 UTC then IOI have done their job.

Ah ok…that sort of works…at least there won’t be anything left to download so it should be a simple matter to claim the content owned…hopefully anyway. But can’t play the game until the allow progress transfer.
You can. It’s just any H3 progress you’ve made prior to the transfer will be lost when you carryover.
It would be pointless to play before progress carryover because anything you do before you can bring progress forward will be erased when you do.

Not really. I’ve completed about 20% of the challenges already and will lose them all when I do the progression carryover, but I wouldn’t call it pointless because I’ve already spent 14 hours playing the game.
I wasn’t going to leave it sitting there and not play it because of progression loss.
14 hours of progress that will be erased and will have to be repeated to regain it…that’s a nope for me.

I wasn’t even trying for challenges, other than when I did a SA/SO run of each level - and that wasn’t even about the challenges. It was just to say that I’ve done it.
I was just enjoying the game. And I’ve had a really fun time just playing not caring about challenges at all.
Totally worth it.
Edit: And playing it pre-transfer gave me a chance to play the locations with a limited inventory, which made it more fun than having a shit ton of tools that remove some of the difficulty.

You can still do that with everything unlocked. But hey, we can all create our own fun.
I have H1 and H2 european versions on disc.
Can I buy US digital version of H3 and keep entire progress and locations from H1 and H2?
Not if you’re on PlayStation. PS discs are region free, but all digital content is region locked.
Everything needs to be from the same region if you’re introducing even one small piece of DLC.

Trophies and Achievements
HITMAN 3 has 47 trophies/achievements that can be earned by playing content included in the Standard game on Xbox, PlayStation and Epic. Earning them all on PlayStation will unlock a Platinum trophy.In addition, HITMAN 3 includes trophies/achievements related to accomplishments in HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2. These ‘legacy’ trophies/achievements can be automatically unlocked in HITMAN 3 once players have carried over their progress. Simply put; if you have met the requirements for the legacy trophies/achievements after carrying over your progress, they will automatically unlock when you start HITMAN 3 for the first time.
For example, if you have earned the ‘Inflitrator’ trophy/achievement in HITMAN 2 (for completing the Nightcall mission) and then carryover your progress, that trophy/achievement will unlock in HITMAN 3 automatically.
There are very few exceptions where the trophies/achievements will not automatically unlock. These are all related to earning a certain score/rating in a mission and are mostly related to the Sniper Assassin mode. To unlock those legacy trophies/achievements, all players will need to complete the requirements in HITMAN 3.
