Before he fucked the Governorship, or so I heard, I think Gavin Newsom would have been a great contender for the presidency.
I would say Hillary should have picked him to be her running mate rather than Tim Kaine, but considering she was viewed as coastal elite or whatever, Gav probably wouldn’t help in that department. Probably still inspiring than poor Tim.
Maybe he should have shoved the Hill aside and ran for the nomination himself. He’ll probably get more votes by virtue of having a cock.

Newsom already has too much baggage for the must-be-perfect-or-we-won’t-vote-for-them Leftists who cost us this last election. It can’t be him. It can’t be anybody people already know, except perhaps Tim Walz. It needs to be a new face who gains traction in these next 4 years, and the same is true across most of the Democratic Party.
It needs to be people that average voters can see have only just come into politics, and so haven’t been tainted yet, and who have experienced the problems that normal people are facing each day, regardless of what the media or government says about the state of the economy. And it needs to run on a message of actually helping the working class, directly; not a message of being better than the other side on morales or policy and so that’s automatically going to help the working class.
They need to come out and just say that they want to stop facists, racists, book burners, cults, and the like, that they’re going to enact heavy legal punishment on white-collar criminals at the corporate level, and most of all, that they are going to improve working conditions for workers and get more money into their pockets. They need to emphasis that, in order to accomplish these things, it’s not enough to elect a Democrat president; it’s not enough to elect Democrats to Congress; they need to elect people with a full history of progressive work and stances (to avoid Trojans switching parties once in office like we’ve been seeing), at all levels, whether that be local, state, or federal. That such people usually align Democrat is beside the point. It needs to be made clear that these people need to be elected in overwhelming numbers, so that the greedy, hateful morons who can’t govern on the other side can’t block or override these changes.
And it needs to start immediately. There isn’t a “campaign season;” politicians in America are always campaigning, and they lose focus on their jobs when “campaign season” comes around, but there is nothing preventing them from running ads about this stuff the entire time between now and the next election. Start now. Start running ads about how ineffective, how corrupt, how utterly stupid the Republican-controlled government is even now, before they’ve even been sworn in and taken power. Start. NOW.

South Korean Prime Minister and Acting President Han Duck-soo was impeached today by the Assembly. The Assembly passed the impeachment motion 192-0 with the conservative PPP boycotting the vote. Now being impeached he’ll be suspended from his duties with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choi Sang-mok becoming both the Acting Prime Minister and Acting President of South Korea.

I realise, this is JD Vance’s superpower in 2028; regardless of whether voters choose Vance or the Democrat, we’ll finally be free of Trump.
And compared to Trump, Vance looks great. He’s young and he’s smart enough to occasionally sound sane and reasonable. And all of this is amplified due to 12 years of Trump lowering our standards to Hell.
Democrats are going to need to find a unifying and inspiring candidate or Vance is running away with the presidency in 2029, earlier if we’re lucky.
