I know we have a Games Deals thread somewhere, but this ons feels so big it has to be put here.
First of all, Ubisoft has committed to adding an offline patch to The Crew 2 and Motorfest so they don’t receive the same fate (and backlash) that delisting and shutting down the OG Crew.
“Today, we want to express our commitment to the future of The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest. We can confirm an offline mode to ensure long term access to both titles, stay tuned for more news in the next months.”
Secondly, the Crew 2 is currently available for 98% off (so, down to One Dollar in the US) for the next 2 weeks across various digital platforms.
Check out your store and check out this game, I guess. For a dollar.
Go for it, man! Even though I am about to start to play TDU: Solar Crown, which will launch tomorrow, TC2 is still very much worth that dollar of yours. It gets this gigantic map and all the vehicles you can drive, ride, sail, and fly all across the US. I actually can’t wait for it to be shut down, so that I can always start a fresh game without creating all those new accounts and profiles. Anyway, it’s such a wonderful news that another open-world driving game is saved.
And like that leave it to Call of Duty to double down on cool collaborations right before a new game releases making your purchases null and void unless you play Warzone.
Pacific Drive recently updated the game with a whole bunch of accessibility/difficulty modifiers!
I haven’t played this yet but it’s on the list. I’ve heard good things about it though and this should add some nice replayability to it!
Also, Helldivers 2 gets it’s (2nd) big Weapon Buff patch today!
They did a great job listening to the wider community back in I think May or June, who were frustrated with how many guns had gotten some serious nerfs by then… So they re-buffed them.
But then in their “first major update” that added a few mew missions and a higher difficulty a month back, they nerfed quite a few weapons again and changed how they behaved against enemy armour (which the majority of enemies have) so… yeah that didn’t go well again.
Patch Notes for anyone interested:
Here’s hoping they leave the fun stuff alone and figure out how to make new weapons interesting without having to sacrifice power from previous weapons. Just feels like “balance” for balance’s sake…
Neat. Now just to see whether it runs like a 2010 game should, or whether it´ll be a “remastered” version with unnecessarily high HW and disk space requirements
