I’m surprised they used the original models and not the remastered models honestly. I collected all manuscript pages and thermos in it and you don’t even get a loading screen so /:
Remedy has been doing a decent job advertising the game, but I won’t lie when I say the people interested in this game are people who played the first one, atleast that’s the sentiment going around by most people.
What I find strange is how American Nightmare is now considered canon and is labeled as a failed attempt to escape the dark place according to Sam Lake. But since it’s 360/BC/PC exclusive they haven’t acknowledged it in the slightest outside of the recent interviews of Sam recapping the story.
what difference does it make? at the end of the day, if this gets folk paying attention to alan wake and gives the series a better chance at survival, i’m for it. alan wake trapped in the nightmarish marketing platform reality of fortnite seems super funny to me. he musta picked the wrong door at the oceanview motel.
I was merely being hyperbolic for funny purposes. Though now that you mention it it feels like it kind of cheapens the brand somehow but in a way that I can’t explain.
I’ve gone full “Screw it, nothing matters, Fortnite is just a marketing machine now” so I agree that the potential What-If lore implications with this move are once again hilarious.
Let Alan dance like a man gone insane!.. (Which he kinda is!)
"The Dark Presence took control of me as soon as I stepped into the Blue Room. I was once again powerless, and yet something was amiss: I was still conscious, trapped, yet fully observant.
I could do nothing but watch in pure disbelief and terror as I was ‘‘hitting the griddy’’. My mind raced in shame to what would Alice think of me.
I realized in this moment of weakness, death was just a privilege that I couldn’t partake."
I think I will be sold on this remake. As much as Komani can make me suspicious.
I miss when game level were first game levels, and second natural looking. So if I can have them in a good looking engine…
Couldn’t get on MGS V systemic approach because of that (or any systemic stealth game really). Puzzle stealth games will always have my heart (I boldly say on Hitman Forum).
The contrast between an assumed rough(ish) design and the now modern graphics is an aesthetic that I just love in games.
(also MGS2, and MGS 3 were my first “games can a bit more than toys, and I can see an intent behind them” experiences. So…)
For whatever reason, Netflix finally realises that Stranger Things is a marketing cash cow and approves the return of Stranger Things licensed content in other games, after 2 years of pulling all agreements to use that content 2 years ago.
Fortnite just recently brought back Hopper and Demogorgon skins along with new Eleven cosmetics, after many years of it being known that they refused to have Epic renew their contract to sell them again.
Dead by Daylight just updated and re-added the Hawkins Lab map and ability to buy the Stranger Things DLC and costumes, after 2 years of it being removed and all content either removed or text changed to no longer reference ST.
I’m hoping that this means they’ll add the Stranger Things 3: The Game back to all platforms, as I’ve heard it’s a fun RPG retelling of S3 – but, also 2 years ago, they removed it from all stores to make it exclusive to their mobile app.
This gets a “fuck yeah!” reaction from me. The ZP videos were the most worthwhile Escapist content by a country mile, although I’ve been enjoying “Cold Take” these days too. But more than that, I’m all for employees rallying around one another and leaving the company when the company makes questionable decisions in pursuit of the Almighty Dollar. Recent editing changes in ZP, namely jarring ad breaks and a “YouTube is fucking us, come to Patreon” intro, clearly showed the brand was struggling and putting profit ahead of creativity.
I was always amazed Yahtzee didn’t quit when Sterling quit, since at that point it seemed like the Escapist was on its death throes, and Sterling would go on to become hugely succesful through Patreon. If she could do it, it seemed like Yahtzee could easily mimic her success, even if without the Zero Punctuation copyright. The Escapist would amazingly bounce back but it looks like it is about to die again.
Nice looking teaser trailer and all but with so many people gone from Bioware and possible lawsuits coming, it’s hard to get excited when it seems less and less likely this game wlll ever see the light of day.
Jason Schrier and Bloomberg are reporting that GTA 6 is ready to be revealed and could be officially announced as early as this week, with a trailer in December, likely at the game awards.
After 10 long years, this is the most promising news that I’ve seen!
I’ve never been a GTA player, had no idea how wild some of these fake predictions got, and for so long…
I’ll believe it when I see an official announcement from R* themselves. Clearly the fans have gone insane
