Gamers unite!™

Maybe we should just not buy games made with heavy crunch/deathmarching no matter if it resulted in a great game. I am confident getting rid of that would also result in more realistic time tables and feature lists.

Crunch culture is a hard thing to kill it seems

absolutely agree, but with those changes i think audiences - and i include myself, of course - need to temper our expectations. our demand for this stuff is part of the cycle.

oh, and it would be cool if the hardware we use wasn’t linked to slave labour, concentration camps, and genocide too.

Well it looks like the Holy Roman AC game is confirmed (which is good because I am most excited for that one) since they just came out with a Charlemagne pack for Valhalla. Makes sense since they make a few references to the HRE in the game proper and the second DLC is about his dipshit descendent.

Still waiting for that magical AC game that might have Vlad the Impaler in it or at least the formation of the Order of the Dragon by Sigismund.
Ubi teased me a lot with references to him in the Ezio trilogy

Well, he was in Revelations. Dead, but was there

I’d probably be excited for the Japan AC game if it wasn’t part of Infinity, but we’ll see…

He was a playable character in the multiplayer and one of the targets was an admirer of Vlad

There was also a sword that is said to be his in Brotherhood

Well Wallachia wasn’t a part of the HRE but Sigismund is a possibility

Vali I remember well. He had a neat backstory. The MP character I didn’t know about, since I never played the MP.

Brotherhood? His sword was in Revelations. The Spada Lunga is Italian and you only “pay” for it with the coins featuring Vlad, no?

In Brotherhood you get the Spada Lunga from doing a shop quest and paying with those Vlad the Impaler coins. An identical sword but with a different name is in Revelations :stuck_out_tongue:

I know but it’s very close to how it’s spelled in Romanian, “Spadă lungă”, with the same meaning. The devs knew what they were doing when they gave it that name

I will say straight up that I don’t remember the identical sword with a different name in Revelations (Prussian Longsword according to the wiki), but there is a completely unique sword named after Vlad, his personal sword which you can loot from his tomb, and that’s the one I was referring to

Well, they’re both Romance languages, so sharing the same name for a longsword probably doesn’t need to involve any hidden meaning?

Of course not but I always assumed it was Vlad’s sword because the name can be interpreted as Romanian and since you buy it with Vlad’s coins

I totally forgot about this one. It’s been a while since I played Revelations to remember what that quest was all about

Ah, ok, fair enough

The one totally Vlad-related and Romanian-made item in the series and you forget about it? Shame on you

Alright Jim Ryan is taking pot shots because COD’d exclusivity on PlayStation will be ending within the next three years. What I taken away from this is COD Exclusivity leaving PlayStation will lead to lower concurrent play numbers and potential hardware (both digital and physical) sales for PlayStation as a whole and that’s rubbing Jim Ryan the wrong way since the Behemoth that is the COD Franchise is a deciding force on what console a person would want to choose especially for casual gamers.

The sheep will follow wherever the proverbial exclusivity Shepard will lead them.

to be fair, that’s the primary deciding factor on what console i get. is that baaaahd?

Jim Ryan is making it out to be that Call of Duty will cease to exist on the PlayStation Platform. The reality of it all is that the future of the brand isn’t based around alienating a Platform rather evolving upon what started with MW(2019) and unifying Progression and Player-bases.

At the end of the day it’s just a numbers game and PlayStation if the acquisition goes through won’t be the premier place to play Call of Duty which will of course affect sales numbers for Jim Ryan.
