Once you set a prestige, that’s it. It’s one and done, nothing affects it unless you do a disconnect restart the moment you do it, which will count the prestige to your total, but will put all the weapons back on the wall. However, triggering the prestige again after this will not count toward your total, it will just remove all your items again, meaning you have to refill them legitimately before triggering another prestige that counts toward your total.
Man, that is a tough challenge. I bet a few game controllers would get thrown with that challenge can you imagine how hard that would be?
A lot of YouTubers who like to make mistakes to stretch the length of a Let’s Play would have Let’s Plays with 100+ episodes, easy YouTube money.
Sounds like grind fest boredom.
Let’s not encourage him any more than we have to, please…
Had a recent spree of Perfect Run Freelancer campaigns to help me get over the line to the new title of Mortifer Velocis and level 5001! It’s fun to play when you’re feeling bored and every run is never completely the same (mostly). I’ll probably be in this player profile bracket for a while as I’m no longer on holiday now!
Thank you, Melusca; very clear.
Best regards.
Thank you, Heisenberg.
I haven’t any knowledge of the “disconnect restart” method of which you write, but will keep in mind that if I’m unlucky and am disconnected at the instant I’m initiating the Prestige action, that strange results may occur.
Best regards.
Playing Freelancer today and I had a thought about the Safehouse. I wonder if this was an unused asset of either Providence or the ICA? I’m leaning more towards Providence to be fair, as with their total collapse, they are less likely to find or gain access to any of their previous locations with Diana in full control of their assets. Presumably, Diana gained full access to the Safehouse shortly after she brought down Providence and the building was then decked out within that year time period when 47 was on hiatus.
Clearly the Safehouse has been stood for a period of time given there is overgrown foliage on top of the roofing and hanging from the main entrance of the Safehouse.
That aside, the building has clearly been refurbished both outside and inside, but mainly inside and this clearly took place during 47’s hiatus period and was spesfically designed for 47’s return, hence the camouflage satellite, remote location to remain undetected by ICA remnants etc.
I personally think that either Diana commissioned it to be built with the funds she siphoned off of Providence to help it collapse in preparation of going freelance with 47 once it was all over, had already had it built for unrelated reasons with the money she’d eared from ICA over the years in case she ever had to defect from ICA, or it’s a site commissioned by ICA directly.
Most of Providence doesn’t really do the secret control room in the basement thing, they’re more of the bribe everyone opposed to us until they’re on our side to get what we want and make ourselves stronger type. Also, as opulent as the safehouse is, it’s a bit small compared to whatever most Providence people are accustomed to. If it were a Providence safehouse, it would most likely have been intended for the Constant.
ICA on the other hand, while the house part doesn’t have the whole minimalist utilitarianism you’d expect, it does give the idea that someone important with enough resources to not need a regular job lives there, decreasing the need for its occupant to be leaving for work every day while there, making the ventures outside without a discernible pattern seem less suspicious, but the basement bunker loaded with weapons and such is more sensible for an espionage/black ops organization that specializes in murder. It would also explain how both 47 and Diana are so easily familiar with its features and how to properly run their business out of it, as they’d be used to operating with ICA setups after a twenty year career with them.
I don’t understand this. What do you mean new maps and then point out Mumbai?
On that point tho, since the modders did it, why can’t we get all the other maps the Rudder has released? If modders can do it, why can’t IOI?
I’d also like to have personal stats available. Like a menu we can go into and see which weapons were used to kill targets (and maybe a separate stat for non targets) also which items were chosen to go into maps
Etc etc.
Like so:
Kill items:
Fiber wire: x16
Combat knife x12
Pistol (can even be specific like silverballer) x10
Etc etc
Ko items:
Bat: x23
Hammer: x15
Etc etc
Items brought into maps from safehouse:
Silverballer: x52
Striker: x43
Red ruby: x41
Wrench: x33
Hammer: x22
Etc etc etc
I’d love to see stats like this on a personal level.
Funny thing is that I didn’t saw a Mumbai in map loop so long that I’ve started believe they did t add to Freelancer
Ya Mumbai is there already.
Personal stats would be wonderful.
Longest and shortest time on a mission, ideally with campaign stage info included.
Most frequently played map, least played map… or rank maps by frequency played.
Most commonly / frequently chosen prestige objective, least chosen.
Most frequently completed objectives, least completed objectives.
Quantity of disguises used, per map, overall or both.
On a related note, I miss the IO Interactive infographics that they would publish, starting with Hitman [2016] and some of the Elusive Targets, and hope that they return to publishing them for new ETs, if not for new maps also (e.g., “After 93 days since [map]'s release, this is how players eliminated the target(s)”.
Best regards.
100% This.
IOI have internal access to so many stats, it’s a damn shame we can’t access that data ourselves outside of demanding it in a GDPR request.
I’d very much like a count of how many Freelancer campaigns & hardcore campaigns that you’ve beaten.
Following the recent IOI briefing, sounds like Freelancer might be getting some more attention moving forward.
Also, Combatglue (Samir) is taking back to the Devs the community request for alternate locations, such as Landside for example, to be included in the Freelancer location rotation. Would be really cool if this comes off
This is just media talk to keep interest in the game alive; I don’t believe in any significant changes or improvements. If they were serious about the game, real development plans would have been announced long ago. Instead, they’re just throwing crumbs because they don’t want to allocate resources to the game but also don’t want to completely cut ties with it.
With all due respect, they are just media influencers. If they had something concrete, they would have already presented it. Don’t expect anything beyond a new CET and the standard roadmap loop we’ve seen so far. Sorry, I’m a realist - I won’t believe it until I see it.
Well, we don’t know what IOI have planned to be fair? In regards to Hitman III, it’s just started its Year 5 worth of content, so I don’t think we’re doing bad at this stage in the games life cycle. Like I’ve pointed out above, they’ve teased more things for Freelancer and plans to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise in November
