I play on Playstation. Does it work there too?
Finally made some progress. Finished the Burning Man challenge. Now I need a lot of those Cold Feet (4/20). Very stupid challenge. Either I kill all the targets or I die on the mission. Anyway. Will do this and maybe finish Top Dog (86/100) and Employee of the Year (446/500) in the process.
Hitman mentioned! One of my favorite gaming-YouTubers, NakeyJakey, just called Freelancer the best stealth game ever made. High praise. He makes some good points here (and extra props for being the first YouTuber to choose 47ās suit and not the super funneh clown suit).
Personally, the main Hitman gameplay is just perfect for me, but it reminds me how substantial Freelancer really is as an addition.
obv Codename 47 is the real stealth goat
Yes, it works just fine
You know, for once, pinging @Combatglue to assure visible a positive.
The whole essay, about stealth in games, the history of it, design decisions, difficulty, just to purposely say "this is a build-up to conclude with the direct quote that āHitman Freelancer is the greatest stealth game ever madeā "
(Iām a bit disappointed that the video didnāt mention Sniper Elite, but) I totally agree with his points, especially regarding Freelancer. Itās exactly what made me enjoy Hardcore Mode so much, and I wouldnāt have switched back if there was a way to opt out of time-based POs, which I just donāt enjoy at all.
Jakey provides some of the best in-depth analysis into games and game mechanics out there (all while sitting on a yoga ball), so I am very happy to see this. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Good grief hahaha ā
Freelancer is a great addition to Hitman WOA and in my personal opinion, itās one of the greatest additions to the franchise. It has so much replay value, especially as the Syndicate members and leaders always alternate every time you play, so it keeps things freshened up. Plus, I also love the mode because it gives us a brief insight into 47ās whereabouts following the Hitman III epilogue before we inevitably head into the next big game in the franchise further down the line
Freelancer could do with a bit of subversion to the balance once youāve accumulated everything - let me buy additional, non-standard weapons, make Hawkeās Bay an unlock.
Thereās plenty of āunbalancedā content you can throw into the mix providing you gate them behind requiring the player to have run the gauntlet of the current balanced experience.
Because, at some point, once youāve achieved everything thatās available, disrupting the balance isnāt a bad thing. The Mass Effect 2 game devs did exactly this when they introduced some balance-altering weapons at a rather late stage when everyone had already played the game to death.
Hitman could benefit from a similar approach to give end-game fanatics something to chew on.
I just got credit in Cassidy using frog in a glass
Wait until you have to do sometimes may be good, sometimes maybe s$&t
Members beware: I will be using this line down the road.
Yes! Unlock modifiers! I love this idea.
Some ideas:
All guards one-shot you
Unlimited ammo/mag size (no reloading)
Locked-out loadout
No pickupable items on maps
NPCs insta-panic within a radius of 47
No syndicate leader intel
I have a question, and probably a silly one for someone with hundreds of hours in freelancer.
But is there any list of what items you can get from your safe house? I thought I knew most of the useful ones, but I just found out I could make my own remote explosive a couple days ago lol. Is there anyway you can make flash bangs?
Also did they add/change some prestige objectives in FL? The āarrange meetingā one seems to be different now, (I can actually get it to work) and there is one I never saw before āKnockout 3 suspectsā. Did that one replace the silent knockout timed suspects one that was absolutely dumb?
Iāve done this already. Wasnāt fun at all.
Considering Iām low-ish level (22), I cannot guarantee its completeness, but this Steam guide seems comprehensive. Click on the table of contentsā (right-hand column) āSafehouseā (apologies, but I could not link directly to that section).
No manufacturing of flash grenades listed.
Best regards.
Thx for that, it was a very interesting read for me.
Iām the type of guy that never really gave too much of a care about the safe house, never really explored it and havenāt really decorated. Iām just get me into the action and let me work my magic kinda guy. Looks like I should spend some more time in places in it other than the basement of the safehouseš¹
