Two missions left to finish my first campaign, Ambrose and Dubai on normal. I can do this…
SENDING GOOD VIBES
The “Cold Feet” challenge is the worst and most utterly pointless thing I have seen in a video game. Ever.
I’m supposed to do this 20 times, how enjoyable!
It’s not that bad if you only do it for non-alerted territories in normal mode. It is a legitimate way to speed up completion of the campaign.
Did it…
…Just to fail the very next assignment in the dumbest way possible on my way to exit, losing the glamorous silverballer and other items I’d bought with the campaign completion merces.
I AM OUT OF GRIND HELL. ALL OF MY TO-DO CHALLENGES ARE NO MORE
OPEN ALL OF THESE IN MULTIPLE TABS. ALL OF IT.
Time to play some Deep Rock Galactic.
That’s why I prefer my enjoyment of playing than “ticking boxes” to climb an artificial ladder. That’s why I’ll never even get to prestige level 1.
Did you pacify?
Yes, I forgot about that particular objective mid run and knocked somebody out.
However, I also eliminated that person afterwards out of frustration. Maybe that’s what tripped the game up.
It was the Hide Target Bodies objective, it registers twice when you complete it. Additionally you would have failed the Perfect Run objective if it was an actual perfect run because of the Hide Target Bodies registering twice.
Really? Wow, that’s crazy. This game still manages to surprise me.
I guess in the end I was lucky to have failed “Do not pacify”
This may have already been fixed when they activated the new Hot Fizzsh Challenge. The very moment the first item leaves your hand it immediately goes right back into the case - it never goes to the floor. Doesn’t matter how fast you are or where you are inside or outside the Safehouse. Disguises don’t matter either and I use the PS4 version just like the one in the video. I followed his instructions exactly unless there is something I missed but the concept and execution is simple enough. IOI didn’t wait until August to nip this thing in the bud.
I just gave it a shot on PC. The window of opportunity is miniscule, but it works just fine
Finally! Time for some well-deserved rest.
Unfortunately, hacker’s from Colorado won’t accept me as their fellow cybercriminal
Please IOI, ENOUGH with the grind-athon Challenges now. They’re not fun and they make the game worse.
Unpopular opinion: you choose the grind yourself. The long challenges were probably meant to make Freelancer into WOA’s farewell. Something you could play for years and still have a bit of a progression element throughout.
But does it feel good now? Having grinded, presumably hated the process, and now being able to enjoy Freelancer with nothing left to achieve in it?
obvious jk, wink wink… everyone should play how they like, but I think it’s an ok consideration to have
Ok, this is going to take a while. Alerted Colorado. Four targets. Silent assasin. Suit only. No firearms.
Update on my mission:
Ko’d a lot of people:
Cleaned the North and South Orchard and some of the Junk Yard. Now making my way to the mansion and ko’ing everyone there…
Unfortunate update. Ko’d almost everyone on the map. Killed already two targets. Never compromised, all ok. And then the game crashed. As usual when I ko more than about 100 people. Really annoying. I enjoy to subdue all NPCs and then take out my targets.
Thing is, for most of the WoA trilogy’s life (all the way from March 2016), being a 100% HITMAN completionist didn’t necessitate horrendous levels of grind, with the exception of Mastery Level 20 on the three Sniper Assassin maps (and plenty of people - me included - gave voice to a dislike of that grind at the time).
Yeah, the desire for 100% completion all comes from me, but it’s only very recently in the lifecycle of HITMAN that I’ve been forced into an extended period of excessive grinding to satisfy my completionist itch. It’s a new direction that IOI have chosen to go in, and I’m only having a moan about it now because for the most part I haven’t needed to previously - the game has had absolutely OODLES of content to keep people busy and having fun for ages, but it hasn’t previously taken a dump on fellow completionists trying to have their form of fun in the process.
Yes, it does! I can now get back to replaying the part of the game I love most, the hand-crafted main campaign with its delightful Mission Stories.
How do you think I feel? I have that same completionist spirit but I just don’t have any desire to grind out that Prestige bullshit. And TBH it kinda killed my desire to even play Freelancer as much.
So it had a negative effect!
