The Close Technical Test for the Freelancer mode will run from November 3rd to November 7th.
Anyone that was invited to participate will be able to pre-load from November 2nd.

For the benefit of the forum members that wish to have a spoiler free experience in January , please post any spoilers (including gameplay spoilers), here and not in the main Freelancer topic.
The Close Technical Test should be available for preload today, November 2nd, in preparation for its start tomorrow.
If you were invited and wish to play it as much as possible, you know what to do.

As for the objectives, and consequences, of the CTT, the following extract from the Road to Freelancer #2 article is good to highlight :
Full transparency, we won’t be making major gameplay changes. We’re looking primarily at economy/ XP balancing, enjoyment and testing our technical infrastructure.
Bear in mind too that the actual playable test doesn’t start until tomorrow so all we’d get today is the download anyway. Plus, they did say “most likely on 2nd November”, which is not a guarantee and there may be things out of their control (like Steam being Steam).
I think they just want to maximize the test time. I’m pretty used to not getting preloaded games at this point so it’s not a big deal if I have wait until tomorrow morning to download, but I get the anxiousness.
