What are you guys hoping for the patch notes QoL wise? Bug fixes are a given but I’d like modifications so Chongqing’s Train starting location doesn’t force you to do the data core. Letting you have a loadout in Untouchable’s lab and outdoors starts. Letting us save a loadout again. Letting us finally skip the virus and the clues. Stuff like that.
I’d also love if they introduced to Hawke’s Bay the fast forward starting locations like in Dartmoor. The ability to just skip to Alma arriving. I’d also like Master mode challenges to return but without unlocks.
I mean if we’re doing our grandest wishes that likely won’t ever come true, let alone in February, then a “mute handler” toggle would be amazing. Making Whittleton Creek clues optional at alternate start points like Hitman 3 does would be nice too, though I don’t think the virus in Sapienza is the same type of thing personally.
If we’re talking realistic changes, I’d like the LOD issues fixed on PC (things pop in way closer on “ultra” than they did in Hitman 2). I’d also like the challenges that are bugged to be fixed. I’ve also seen people walk through solid doors on the legacy maps sometimes.
I’d also love a new “pro mode” for H3, but that’s more a long term thing.
It’s interesting that halfway through the month they still haven’t added any details to the roadmap webpage; usually when the roadmap is announced they have a little blurb about each item
I wonder if they’re still deciding exactly what they’re doing with ETs in H3, or if this is just their new strategy, just a thumbnail and title and we’ll find out the details on ‘launch’ day
The virus is basically just the data core from 3. An objective that funnels you towards a specific exit. You wouldn’t even need to have it skipped with alternate starting locations, Colorado doesn’t need that. Plus keep in mind they patched Colorado I wanna say December-February, very recently after release. We thought that’d never get implemented but they did it and it was great. I’m sure they’ll do it with Whittleton Creek soon, because they don’t need to pad out game length anymore which lets be honest was the entire reason why those clues exist.
You can get the virus first, and to me it feels more like a third target than a side objective. I wouldn’t want to do that level without it, but I’d be just fine not getting the same three easy evidence pieces in Whittleton. Just my opinion.
Why? As for my understanding, it’s meant to be that way.
It’s one of those “plot-related” starting locations similar to Dubai skydiving, Berlin bus station, etc, that somewhat limit you as the plot requires it; but there is another suit starting location that skips the tedious stuff.
Ofcourse as well with the virus, it is designed so that taking out the virus before you kill De Santis will lure her down into cave, letting you either kill her with a stalectite or by gassing the chamber. It’s not like Colorado really, you don’t have to do the virus last, especially when some disguises will let you start in or near the cave. Not to mention we now have the EMP chain which lets you bypass getting the USB drive from the church scientist, so you can start in the cave, take out the virus almost immedietly, then go upstairs to deal with the other 2 targets.
I mean, yeah, I think the virus is a bit of a weak objective. I think Soders in Hokkaido is basically the same idea done better really. But I think World of Tomorrow is very much designed with the virus in mind, and I honestly think it might make the level just a bit too easy without it. Not to mention again, we have the EMP chain to deal with it, I think the Krugermeiser pistol can penetrate the glass at long range so you can just shoot it quietly.
Yeah but it’s not plot related at all. Skydiving at least puts you in a different suit. I just wanna start the level at the train station, I shouldn’t be made to repeat an objective just because of it.
It’s a terrible third target, I can get it first but it still affects DeSantis’ route and overall isn’t fun to do. All the solutions (bringing an EMP, bringing the Kruger, bringing the phone) all require limiting your loadout for runs just to skip doing a terrible objective.
In theory you can also just shoot it with any ballistic gun from the ledge at the other side of the cave. Maybe minus shotguns.
I’d settle for fixing the bugged challenges that cannot be completed, at least for now.
Fixing the bugged (?) Featured Contracts tiers for the H3 missions would be a plus.
Add shoulder swapping as an opt-in feature in the game’s options.
Incorporate the pair of forgotten legacy challenge pack rewards–Claw Hammer & Jaeger 7 Covert–into the location mastery. Also, add the Remote Semtex Demo Block MK III and ICA19 Goldballer as unlockable equipment.
Fixing the obviously incomplete reward tiers to Featured Contracts in H3.
And I would kill for some news on the changes (if any) to Elusive Targets.
What I need is the revolver from absolution.
(Seriously, this game had ridiculously cool looking guns)
I kinda hope the Berlin escalation unlocks the Kane suit. I know it’s not specifically a reference to old Hitman games but in my opinion it fits the dark dingy setting of Berlin and to me K&L always felt like a sort of inbetween of IO’s past and modern history. Like Blood Money lead to K&L which lead to Absolution which lead to 2016. Plus Kane and Lynch are in Absolution right?
Yeah they are, Kane’s in a bar and Lynch at the firing range if i remember correctly, we do need the Kane suit!
Absolutely agree 100%, I’m really hoping we get them as permanent targets
The fewer reminders I have in my life that Kane & Lynch ever existed at all, the better IMO.
I’m hoping they bring back being able to set your own default loadouts for a location rather than the game just remembering what you last used. The automatic memory is just annoying if you’ve just done a very specific type of run and you had to change everything to accommodate that run, only to have to go in and manually reset the location to “normal” for the next generic run.
First half of the first game is pretty fun IMO, flawed as it is.
I feel like the only one in existance that enjoyed K&L 1, 2, and Absolution.
