Elusive Target Arcade

Oh! 12 Hour Lockout!

If you fail an Arcade Contract at any point, there will be a 12-hour lockout before you can retry the contract again from the start.

So yeah, if you play this at 6pm and fail, it’ll be available “tomorrow” but if you play it at 6am… then try again later in the evening!
That’s a very nice timed system and a great amount of time that doesn’t feel too long. (What if you fail at 8pm, and will be busy at 8pm the next day? Nope! You’ll be able to try again the afternoon beforehand, since it’s only half a day needed.

Ahh… and this seems like it’ll be a new way for IOI to add free content each week in 2022, as they’ll be doling them out every now and then. I really hope we still get some new H3 ETs though, and they get added to the list sometime. Or else we’ll just have 7 to pick from, forever!

Our aims with this game mode are; to give players the chance to engage and play Elusive Target content more frequently, provide a new challenge for long-time players in the Elusive Target game mode, create a new type of recurring content that will reward players with desirable unlocks.

When HITMAN 3 – Year 2 begins on January 20, the Arcade will also be open with a total of 3 Arcade Contracts, each one with Elusive Targets from a specific game in the World of Assassination trilogy. As you can see in the screenshot, the Ellipses Arcade Contra ct has three targets from HITMAN 3. Two other Arcade Contracts will also be available on January 20 with targets from HITMAN 1 and HITMAN 2 respectively.

As we move through the year, more Arcade Contracts will be added to the Arcade. We can’t wait to see our players take on this new challenge!

So the suit rewards for the regular ETs will be available through this mode or not (undying suit, detective suit… etc) ? Also I am still missing Bangkok & Hokkaido suit so hopefully they will unlock through this mode.

My thoughts exactly. While I´m glad that the ETs are becoming permanent and they won´t disappear if you fail an attempt (the lockout is an acceptable compromise), I can´t say the same about the concept. These are basically ET escalations and I´m not particularly excited about the prospect of having to go through certain targets to play the one I want.

If beating an arcade level unlocked those ETs for you as separate play-whenever-you-want missions, that would be ideal. I just want to be able to jump into any ET anytime and mess around with ways to kill them.

But I´ll wait and see how it turns out…

My only concern is that they will drip feed the targets as not all ET’s are available immediately.

I guess it’s a way to pad out monthly roadmaps if we continue to have them

Well yeah, why would they release every Arcade Contract they’re ever going to release in one go?

Did a quick edit of this image for wallpaper purposes :skull:

Hopefully higher res version here

I think that’s fair. It’s like releasing Elusive Targets but once they’re out, failure only means half a day to recover instead of permanently unavailable.

Hopefully they’ll be able to use this as a framework to present all the ETs available in their original contract form for access at any time at some point in the future as the end of support nears. Clearly they were able to achieve it in a fashion with this new mode, so maybe they’ll be able to use it to open the whole index to us without restriction at another time through this.

Looks like a HWK21 but the PAle line and further customized. Also the symbols on it seem to be from another company given ICA is no more, I guess. Maybe our armory pals from Blood Money are coming back to do business with 47!

Does anyone have an idea on what kind of restrictions could be in this mode because I’m hoping to still have the freedom of killing them and wearing the disguise that I want not just what they tell me to do

I think the complications were added to the ets in order not to be dull after time

I get that but for me I find playing hitman fun when its done by your hand and how you want to kill them with what clothes you want on so I’m hoping these restrictions won’t be as bad as that

Can play Elusive Arcade as many times as I want without limit if succeed?

A set of three isn’t a bad idea.
but, I’d rather play one person at a time and complete the game, even if there is a 12 hour limit.
Why not add the existing single elusive target mode as well?

Also, will they implement elusive targets in places like Miami, Santa Fortuna, and Whittleton Creek that haven’t been introduced yet?
I would like to know about the suits & gloves that were supposed to be given as rewards in those stages, and when they will be available.

Wonder if anyone can guess my stance on this? :joy:

With a new opportunity each day you will mature into an excellent assassin man.

The way these are loosely structured like Escalations, we could possibly see 5 tiered ET Arcades for the truly deranged runners.

Also, while they may not technically be “Elusive Targets”, I think it would add some variety if they mix in the H2 Special Assignments (and Hokkaido Snow Festival too, lets be honest).

Rather go without 5 Tier, Hitman 1 escalations nearly burnt me out.

I hope this can lead to more ETs for Hitman 2 maps as they really didn’t get much love there.

I get this, but I think 5 ETs in a row is different than 5 of the same run with increasing requirements. And no landmines.

Of course, we don’t know what the ET Arcade will do to runs through it quite yet.

Thought it was said that each level will also have different complications which is what I fear with 5 tier and failure could mean full restart.

Another reason why having complications just isn’t selling it to me
