Likewise, I knew what I was supposed to be doing and had read/watched every tips post/guide out there, but I just couldn’t execute (if you’ll pardon the pun) the strategies without getting killed or without Inhibitors reaching the top floor.
My natural playstyle in the ‘main’ game is very slow and very cautious, and you simply can’t play that way for the Wrath Termination because as well as all the other things (forced Suit Only, all NPCs are Hostile, limited weapon options) that don’t play to my strengths as a risk-averse player, the absolute killer is the de facto timer on the mission as enemies race to the top floor no matter how many distractions you’re able to set up between Waves.
For a slow and steady player like me, that time limit forces you to play faster than your capabilities and - unlike the Envy Contention, which I also hated playing due to the enforced speedrun style - the NPC movements are completely randomised so you can’t even rely on guides to rote-learn speedy strats that will work if you follow the guide to a tee.
