After a first attempt : same as you @Euler13 one serving, one meeting, two servings andthen standing as if waiting for the other.
I tried coining them, shooting nearby to make them enter a temporary state of panic, and gently pushing them. All things that I know can help trigger a bugged interaction.
Which is a shame as I was recording and taking care of making smooth movements and camera work for you.
I did trigger an interaction I never heard before : if both Jacob and the maid are using the oven at the same time they engage in a convo.
I will try two other possibilities : first following Robert Burke, dismissing the bodyguard with the special interaction and not engage directly with Jacob between the meetings. Second I will not knock out the staff member in the kitchen to take his disguise as I did before, having heard the convo with the maid I wonder if Jacob is supposed to engage with him between the two servings, when he would call Robert in a meeting routine. If so, that might be the cause of the bugged trigger.
If you are wearing a bodyguard outfit you can dismiss one of the two bodyguards permanently in the Small Office (reusing a mechanic not seen since Marrakesh with the second floor soldier, or Berlin with the juicebar bartender). It leaves only one you can easily knock out, leaving Robert Burke beer unattended.
From the runs posted or described here most people just knock them both out in the secret room.
Edit : having followed the targets suit only without anyone knockout, having a whole run hidden in the cupboard next to the meeting private place I did not managed to trigger a second meeting. Sorry @Euler13 , I will try again a few time but it might be fruitless.
Edit 2 : Tried bumping into Robert so that he arrived second at the meeting, did not trigger a second meeting.
Thanks for taking the time to check this out, @LandirtHome. It sounds like you’ve been having the same outcome. So either it is broken or there simply isn’t a second private meeting.
Not a lot of people realise this, but in these later ETs, some of the dialogue encounters have randomised elements. That is, the conversation might be made up of two or three part and the intro of outro might have a different line. For example, on this one, the maid at the cooker has two outro lines after her conversation with Jake: “Aren’t we precious?” or “Sorry I asked”. As it happens there is a second conversation with the maid, but the way in which it happens suggestion strongly that something it broken. When I’m collecting footage for dialogue videos this usually indicates that there are more planned encounters. This has happened in other places, but I’m not getting extra lines. So I’m convinced there is dialogue that will remain inaccessible, which is a shame.
I’ve currently got about seven hours of footage, so I’ll just collect better shots on a few more encounters and then set about creating a storyboard for the ones I have.
I never really realised the dialogues were randomized to the replics. Thought it was just a random pool of dialogues. It gives me flashback to Oblivion. Thanks for pointing that to me, and have you seen the mudcrabe the other day ? Horrible creatures.
I’m currently doing runs were I give Robert his cigarettes while keeping Jacob alive, both before the first meeting and after. But it does not seems do anything more.
Edit : and nothing. Even worth sedating Jacob bugs his following routine. He is just standing in the diner room not picking up Gregory’s plate after his tasting. I honestly do not see anything else I could try, unless a second pack is somewhere in the level to get around the bugged routine but nothing on hitmaps.
So @Euler13 , good luck, have as great a work and video as you always do, but I’m at a loss
The Wedding Planner(?) or whoever… When one of the 2 victims would die, the other would mourn. If one target sees the other die… Does anything happen with that?
I also have experienced a bug where the targets just freeze. Had to restart a couple times. This was on Xbox, haven’t tested on PS4 yet.
As for my feelings on the ET: I love it honestly. One of the better ones I’ve played, lore-wise as someone else said. I thought of a dozen ways to get Jack Roe. Good times.
Also, I love this map, haters be damned. It’s small and often flat but variety helps this game succeed. The extra NPCs and enforcers was a nice touch. As usual disguises for the “hired help” are more powerful than disguises for Men With Guns^TM.
Dammit, that sucks. This is probably one of the best ET’s we’ve had in a while, and there are so many issues with it, which genuinely sucks. I also dipped my toes in it, but after they froze in one place, while awkwardly staring at each other, I noped tf out, and pulled the plug on my router.
Also, I’m sure I was correct about their VA’s in leaks. Chef is definitely voiced by Derek Hagen and Embalmer sounds very odd and unrecognizable, and whenever that happens, it’s Alex McMorran. Suprisingly enough, he doesn’t sound that calm and quiet, he’s pretty nervous. Neither is Chef that much of a smug prick. Oh well.
Also, I’m happy to see minor characters to get more lines and time, even when is it just Gregory Carlies enjoying Roe’s food and singing ode’s to it.
I’ve seen the targets freeze in that spot, as well as two other spots.
I’ve seen Jack complete freeze at the table with Edward and he will just stand there staring at him. He can also freeze and will just stare at the plate of food in the break room after coming back down from talking with Robert.
Back on solid ground again with my blind #TeamNoRestarts attempt, with a nice simple SA run. Though I have to say, for fellow #TeamNoRestarts members, it was a sweaty opening if you start as I did in Outdoor Guard disguise blending in RIGHT NEXT to a House Staff enforcer who is just DYING to rek your SA status straight out of the gate: had to do a very carefully timed push of the B button to make sure 47 didn’t get spotted right from the off. Got a Bodyguard disguise from one of the two outdoor patio chumps and then it was off to the races.
Very surprised and pleased to discover that you could dismiss one of the Bodyguards in the Lawyer’s Office, that left me a nice easy bladed melee kill on Burk by simply dropping two guns at the feet of the two remaining guards for a clean isolation. And then Roe was easily distracted into a secluded spot on his route, albeit I did play it ultra-cautious/cheesy and micro-EMP/propane tank-ed his ass.
I was well on track for SA, right until I tried to put the dammed cigarettes down. Which apparently is the world’s worst crime and 47 needs to go to super jail for. But the shortcut ladder saved my bacon and I got out of there with 4 stars. I’ll accept that.
That was surprisingly easy. Started as a guard, got myself a bodyguard outfit first. Went straight to Zachary’s room. Discovered that a guard in front of the door’s an enforcer so tried to lure him away – and couldn’t. But during my attemts suddently Burk was standing there. So I tried to lure him instead. But he didn’t react to anything. To my surprise that’s when Roe turned up. Used a distraction shot to the little hallway next to Zachary’s room and hoped to get Roe with the chandelier there. Well: It missed him. But Roe went to investigate the dropped chandelier. So I went there too, shot him and stashed him in the closed there.
From this point I tried to lure Burk again with some shots. Of course nobody moved – until they realised that someone’s shooting. So Burk panicked and the guards started searching for me. I hid myself in the closet with dead Roe. And where does Burk hide in fear? Exactly in front of this closet. All by himself. So I went out, shot him, stashed him. And exited the mission.
