Elusive Target #11: THE PROCURERS (Year 4 : August 2 - August 12 2024)

There could be an excellent double-accident if they met and found somewhere private to talk. The glitch spoils the opportunity, sadly.

I wanted to use the Proud Swashbuckler + DAK Gold, so it pretty much conditioned the run.

Love this one.

The targets are disgusting, but not without good backstories for their deeds. The map is also changed quite a lot.

I went for the embalmer on my first try, and figured that I should get rid of the chef first to find cigarettes. Unfortunately I came across a glitch. The chef went upstairs to meet the other target, but only to stand still staring him.

So on my second try, I went straight for the chef first. So again the chef went upstairs after serving his dish, and asked the other target for a private talk.

It turns out their private talking place was right under a big chandelier. Oops.

both procurers down under the same chandelier (no not in the ioi intended way but in a stupid ass backwards way that takes way longer with no benefit lol) video should be up soon

I loved playing this yet kept getting frustrated by how Jack would freeze where he was and wouldn’t move at all not to mention aswell everyone was either hearing my coins no matter what floor or they couldn’t hear them at all and finally I wasn’t able to pull Robert out the window of the little office so idk how to feel about it

Distractions really seem to be broken in this for some reason. There are a few spots like the changing room where if you throw distractions in the right spot, guards from upstairs will come down to investigate as well as the person you’re actually trying to lure.

Gah. I failed this for a really stupid reason. Burk’s freshly poisoned corpse was ready for embalming, and I’d cleared the kitchen and found a wrench in order to cook a nice bit of Roe. Everything was set for SA.

I think it must have been because there were two cookers, but I somehow blew myself up. The worst thing? Roe entered and saw the whole disaster! :joy:

Very impressive. I was wondering how you’d handle Burk without distracting his bodyguard, and you pulled it through like it was nothing. Great run!

Is the chef target supposed to just… stand there? I don’t want to spoil myself but I’m a little suspicious, usually the targets at least talk or move around a little. Jack is just standing in front of a plate I can’t reach to interact with in the dining room in front of a seated Gregory. I thought ringing the bell would call people to dinner or something, but he’s still just standing around.

I didn’t encounter it myself, but several people have mentioned one or both of the targets not moving. Seems like an unfortunate bug.

Do you think IO might fix the bugs?

No it’s an elusive target meaning they’ll probably just leave it but maybe if they become permanent content when the games finished with if that happens fingers crossed

Welcome to another episode of Will’s Kitchen. Today I’m thinking of making a delicious fish fillet, with a side of fish roe and some steamed urchins. We’re only preparing the ingredients this time, if you want to watch the cooking process remember to stay tuned for next week. Well, let’s get started.

I’ve prepared a list of tools and ingredients for our dish. If you want to make one yourself then you should prepare:

  • One Northern Pike, also called as Jackfish.
  • Some Jackfish roe, I know it’s a bit exotic, but the dish is not complete without it.
  • One sea urchin.
  • A skewer, I buy mine from Kruger-Schmidt. They made a tiny one that looks like a saber, it’s pretty cool.
  • A portable stove.
  • A wrench.

Now if you’re gonna catch a live fish, make sure to bring a lure with you. I can also recommend Kruger-Schmidt’s classic coins, the fish just gobbles them up.

Alright, let’s begin:

Step 1: Place a trail of coins next to a bucket, when the Jackfish sees it he will follow it.

Step 2: When he gets close, skewer his head with your skewer. You can either stab it or throw it.

Step 3: When you’re lucky the like you got might have some roe inside of it. No need to buy more from somewhere else. Make sure to pick the roe up, we’re gonna need it.

Step 4: Put the fish into the bucket.

Step 5: Now we’re gonna start to get the urchin. Place some of the roe in a place where the urchin can see it.

Step 6: Loosen some of the valves on your portable stove with the wrench. This will make it easier to steam the urchin.

Step 7: Get the urchin and quickly put it in the stove. Steam it.

Step 8: Now get out of there and go home. There’s a bridge over there that I can use, so that’s where I’m going.

Congratulations, you got everything you need for next week’s dish. Remember to tune in next week to see the cooking process. This is Will from Will’s kitchen, good evening folks!

My intention was to poison both of the targets, but things changed upstairs and I just went with it. Had a close call but it all ended well.

I’m really struggling with this ET to collect the dialogue because it seems to be broken in quite a few places. I’ve spent hours so far and don’t have much fruit for my labours. Apart from the minor “cosmetic” issues, like when Jack phones Robert to ask to speak privately he speaks the line before taking out his phone and making the called, there seem to be some more serious issues. For example, after the private meeting, Jack returns to the kitchen and makes two more cycles of serving Gregory, then calls Robert again. Only this time when they meet upstairs in front of the guards, they stand looking at each other, locked in one place. I suspect there is more dialogue that follows because when they meet in front of the guards (before going somewhere more private) I have heard three different lines from Robert after Jack asks for a quiet word.

Did anyone else manage to trigger the next private meeting?

Another annoying discovery is that Robert receives a call from the undertaker. Unfortunately you can only trigger that call by being next to Robert. However, I found a sneaky way to trigger it and then get to the undertaker to hear his side of the conversation. But when I did that I discovered that the undertaker has no dialogue, just an “angry” animation whilst he’s on the phone. I suspect that the devs never expected us to see the undertaker’s perspective so didn’t bother adding any lines.

Because I’m spending so much time trying to catch the main dialogue, I’m worried I might miss something more subtle. Has anyone else discovered any other interesting mechanics/dialogue that I might have missed?

I had no trigger or routine bugs but never found (nor looked for) those particular dialogues on xbox. I will create a quick new account to try to find them there.

This is the most broken Elusive Target I have ever seen. I hid in the crate in the hallway to listen to the conversation between Jack & Robert & the dialogue worked fine. But when I was listening in from the room nearby, they both just stood there like dummies :joy:. Good luck with capturing the dialogue :+1:, as this ET is not well polished. Oh the shame IO!!!
