So as to not hijack the patch notes topic - Iā€™m making an ā€˜attempts made to remedyā€™ list. If Iā€™m unable to edit a post Iā€™ll have no choice but to add reply. Iā€™ll copy/paste the posts Iā€™ve already made elsewhere to this topic.

Nothing yet. Not that Iā€™ve tried much. I have tried changing everything to its lowest setting in the options from the launcher. Still nothing. Iā€™ll edit this post with anything else Iā€™ve tried.

Open your file explorer/This PC then in the address bar copy/paste the following line and hit enter.
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\IO Interactive
and that should take you to the folder where you can delete the folder called ā€œHITMAN3ā€ then once its deleted, relaunch the game.

While trying to check to see if my NVidia drivers needed to be updated (seems kinda useless since the game was working before the update, but why not?)ā€¦ I couldnā€™t get it to do anything.

Looking in Settings > Update and Security >

2024-11 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 (KB5048292)

This will require a restart. Iā€™ll edit this post if this changed anything or not.

You use mods right @Tetrafish_21 ?
SDK is broken now so go to Retail folder and delete dinput8.dll
Should fix it, hopefully. Also if not maybe make sure files are verified (or whatever Epic calls it).

Renaming dinput8.dll will work as well. Thatā€™s what I did.

Sorry if im late but this doesnt work ): i tried everything but doesnt work i use epic games launcher i uninstalled sdk verified files NOTHING works it just crashes and if i try to play with the hitman.exe it doesnt work simply

If all else fails, you might have to do a complete clean install of Hitman even though itā€™s a pain.

It might be related to the SDK messing with cloud syncing.

When you quit a game when modded, EGS/ Steam has a hard time with cloud saves for some reason. Even if you remove the SDK, this behaviour remains because, like a document stuck in a printer queue, it still needs to offload the result to the nearest printer, but canā€™t as it hasnā€™t been given the opportunity to.

It may be worth manually disabling silent mode, and re-launch it via EGS itself or via an edited EGS shortcut. Set Silent=true to Silent=false, which will tell EGS to launch properly instead of being stuck on cloud saving.

ā€œSilentā€ refers to EGS not launching after you quit the game, or if you boot the game up when EGS isnā€™t open. Set to true, EGS prioritises the game over its own launcher (outside of, yā€™know, launching it to verify who you are).

Note: This has happened to me a few times, and this fixes it consistently.
