Case of Benjamin Ponce

I found one contract where there is a target that is not on the map. Does anyone know how to get Benjamin Ponce on the map?

Loading into the level with a debug mod suggests he’s not on the map at all? The name does sound vaguely familiar though

… because he’s in the bonus level!

Could be that it’s that guy who plays golf on the far sister island when you launch La Cucaracha easter egg

That was my first thought, but it is not him. From what I know, this guy shows up in the tenth minute.

It’s weird that the creator of the contract finished him. I know there are some NPC which are spawned at weird location, like that guy from Hokkaido. Or conditions which bring on map new NPC like Mumbai train.
But this is confusing…

Just to make things even more weirder, I’ve just seen that Ponce is present in the Hitman 2016 version of the map it’d be an odd change to remove him
… and also he has the same preview image, but when you load in it turns out he has the model of the other two targets in that contract. He’s the guy talking about how they closed the lounge off.

I swear I remember a thread on reddit at some point where someone pointed this out when the NPC was included in a “Kill Everyone Contract” (I’m pretty sure that was the situation) but weren’t able to find him.

Now I can’t find it. Ironically.

Eh, there’s more than one Easter Egg for Bangkok. The giant cockroach is one and the ‘Looking into the distance’ is another. And the latter is the only one that has an NPC appear out of nowhere on a dock that is inaccessible to the player (outside of some fly hack or other game exploiting gimmick).

EE or challenge… Whichever term applies to making that NPC appear. The point is is that it requires the player to do something that doesn’t happen automatically.

Fyi the guy in the distance is called Lion (Leon?) Forrest, and he wears a white jacket. Iirc he would also be visible on the map as before he plays golf he is lying down (in the forest)

My latest guess is that he got removed for whatever reason, and that this and the contract with everyone as a target are both old contracts

As far as I remember the golf player appears after La Cucaracha takes effect

No. I’m pretty sure they’re 2 separate events.

This one involves (I believe) killing Julian in Jackie Carrington’s room, then waiting for several minutes… The guy should come out onto the pier. You look at him through your sniper scope, then kill him. You’ll hear a yell like someone falling, then the word “FORE!”

Or something like that. No need for the cockroach EE.

IIRC you don’t even need to kill Julian, just waiting in his room is enough.
