Can they stop adding these annoying new challenges?

I want to 100% the game, and have fully completed a few maps, but every month they add these challenges where I have to repeat some boring task (which already was a part of another kill opportunity, like the server electrocution in the beach level) to get the new item. Either just give us the items/ assign them to already existing challenges, or make the new challenges actually unique or fun to complete. I appreciate the items, but all it’s doing is adding bloat to the main game.

Some might complain there are a lack of escalations, while others might complain if there were (where one might complete a challenge and/or unlock an item). So this would seem to be the easiest way to add ANY content to the game in order to give the players something to do.

IMO, they lack creativity, but this should be expected for a game presumably in its twilight hours.

Edit: “Lack creativity” those would be for the things we’ve likely already done, such as the 3x electric kill in Haven Island.

The one we had to get the Guru suit and associated items, IMO, was a good one. The one for Berlin where you had to escape was another good one (Straight jacket and sedative dart gun). The Batty Tranquility - good.

So, we really haven’t seen anything on the level of those for a while.

If contracts mode was expanded to allow the same complexity as escalation missions I would be a happy camper. Until then, new and uncomplicated challenges are the most we can hope for.

I don’t mind the challenges they add tbh, even though I’m also chasing that 100% dragon. If you pick up a live game/game as a service game, you have to expect to have to return occasionally as stuff is added over time.

Having been playing WoA since 2016, I’m completely used to it and it doesn’t bother me at all. Its always a neat little reason to return to the main missions once a month when I probably otherwise wouldn’t have touched them for about two years at this point without the occasional challenge dropping.

Also, the recent challenges have been what people in this forum have suggested as challenges - so if you can come up with something better: go jump in that thread and dump your ideas in there.

Ugh for the life of me, I was never able to complete the 3rd part of the Lee Hong escalation so no chinese briefcase for this guy…

“The devs should stop updating the game because I don’t like the things being added.”

nice try! now try reading it again with your big boy thinking cap on

What does “big boy thinking cap” mean in this context? /gen

I wouldn’t mind doing the challenges if, yknow, they had an actual “challenge” aspect to them. all of them were some kind of busywork or repetition that requires no thought or skill, and at that point I’d rather not do them.

Bro, if you don’t like it, don’t play. No one is forcing you to do it. The game already has little new content, and you want to limit the fans of the game even more. If you’re bored - do all Featured contracts, if you’re bored with that too - play other games.

read my post again. hope this helps.

@getro_gamer i actually agree with what you say is your main point.

I disagree with your proposed solution though.
Between nothing to receive the new items, and a middle of the road challenge, I will always take the challenge. Because I like gameplay in my game.
I also made my peace with Year 4 being a passable year. It is year 4 after all.

Challenge for unlocks never were that novel in all fairness. They are always quite utilitarian.
But I do miss unlocks being given through a challenge pack.

But understand that not only is your point not the title of your post (your title is of the radical reactive solution you want), but it is also buried in the text of your post.
If there is a repeated failure of communication it is not on the reader side.
