Dummy.
Dummy.
Looking at the conflict in the Ukraine, are you afraid of a new (world)war?
To be honest, I don’t know enough about international politics or economy, but still it gives me a bad feeling and I feel like I have to be afraid, even if I don’t really understand of what
I highly doubt an actual world war would occur again, now, at least not in the way the last two did. The world has become so connected and everything hinges on corporate gains so much that just a full fledged worldwide slaughter with jets and tanks and missiles and things just isn’t feasible, and corporate money is what drives most modern militaries now, and certainly for the US.
It’s like Number Two said near the end of the first Austin Powers movie: there is no world anymore. There’s only corporations. So I think we’ll see something more like the Cold War, but more vocal. Think the Cold War crossed with a really violent Jerry Springer episode.
Oh, come on, who really does care about Ukraine?
The best outcome of this I see either us being seized, or we just fight back and erase a few of invaders from the face of an Earth.
With this being local, not spreading to uninvolved countries
Not a world war, that pretty much isn’t on the table regarding this crisis. Very few, if any, NATO countries intend to send soliders to fight and die in Ukraine if the situation accelerates into war. The worst-case foreseeable scenario is Russia marching all the way to Kiev to conquer the entirety of Ukraine, (as opposed to just the contested regions like Donbass which is the more likely scenario- But US intelligence has claimed Kiev’s the eventual target so who knows) which would be terrible for global stability, but itself would not be WW3 starting.
I am afraid of a more violent repeat of the annexation of Crimea and its general effects on world stability. A country trampling upon another and taking what it wants through force is hardly a good thing for humanity as a whole.
How comes Lucas Grey has hair, when all other clones (Agents 17 and 48) were bald?
IIRC, Lucas Grey has escaped Ort-Meyer’s compound before all of the clones went through some memory-erasing thing (including 47), so he had time to be more human without being under anyone’s control.
Or he just uses GLH, who knows
How are you doing today?
I am doing fine, thank you for asking.
I’m fine, as always. Thanks.
not to be callous towards the horrors people in the ukraine are potentially facing here, but i think this is more of a symptom of a second cold war rather than an indicator of a third world war.
like @Heisenberg said, things are a lot more interconnected which makes it all more complex; and as @Lexilogo pointed out: nato have more or less said they won’t get directly involved. they removed troops, nationals, etc., precisely to avoid a larger bust up. everyone has nukes, so no one really wants to escalate, though that probably doesn’t help…
this is one of my favourite movie monologues and well worth your time if you haven’t seen it:
Can someone on Steam test a Girl in Pink mission story in Miami?
Seems it’s broken. There is no confirmation prompt to say that I’ve brought the documents.
Though after speaking to the guard for the first time I then can enter the hotel yard but nothing happens then. 47 even doesn’t respond to those both guards that you can sit with. And Sierra of course does not react and come for the meeting. Thus this mission story can’t be completed.
I need to make sure it doesn’t work so I can compose a bug report
UPD: there shouldn’t be a second prompt, 47 just should respond automatically, but he doesn’t on Steam. On Epic everything is fine
UPD 2: ok, issue has been found. @musicalmushr00m’s lighting mod somehow prevents this mission story to proceed by not allowing 47 to respond he has the documents. After the mod is disabled, 47 responds as he should. So, @musicalmushr00m look into this please
Known issue. It’s a bug with one of the tools used to create the patches, so it’s out of my control however the developer is looking into it and working on a fix ASAP.
Two things:
First, what is all the known information we have on the Cassandra Snow novels.
And secondly, has anyone ever compiled footage or something of Craig Black reading from the book.
I ask for a project I’m working on
The ‘Yes or No’ topic’s current discussion gave me an idea, and I wondered… What if you threw the hidden virus at/on the Detective that is asleep. This would, of course, wake him up. Then it’d only be a matter of time before he has a meeting with Desantis.
So. Would the virus effects stay on the detective? Or would they be wasted on the bench he was sleeping on?
Well, I’ll definitely try this the next time I play.
Won’t work, since it is a prototype. The virus doesn’t last long outside of the specialised environment remember?
That being said if it does work be sure to get it on camera!
You might be right. Although I have thrown it in spots where she’d walk later (like to check on why the Virus in the lab was destroyed). Now I’m wondering if there’s a time limit from when you throw it (wherever) to when Desantis walks to that spot.
SCIENCE!!!
Wouldn’t even need to throw it near the detective if it was working right. 47 could just throw it on the ground in a secluded area, taking the virus into himself, and then walk past the detective just before using the radio to wake him up and he’d take the virus to DeSantis. It’s kind of a shame that it doesn’t work properly, because that’d be cool. Hell, if it did, you could throw it near Dr. Lafayette and trigger the wait for him to go into the villa and meet Caruso, and if he didn’t infect anyone who gets near DeSantis, then once the session with Caruso is done, Caruso would meet with her and carry his own virus right to her. Lot of possibilities. Alas.
What was the point of the Gregory Arthur mission story in Mumbai? Is it to get close to Dawood Rangan? Is it actually an elimination opportunity? Is it like The Showstopper where it gives you a clean kill that isn’t SA?
