I tried it as well so yeah seems like it is disabled on the drop, like in contracts. Not sure why really.
Silly rabbit, you can’t get beamed up once you’ve been dropped!
If you trigger a target lockdown, he runs all the way to the disco ball and stands underneath it.
For what it’s worth, I agree. This is one of the best ETs. Great and numerous kill opportunities including a “mission story” one. Clear and sensible trespassing zone. A bodyguard that can be disposed of thanks to another preexisting mission story. Easy kills and complex kills available. Bumpin music. What’s not to love??
Oh and no forced camera movement.
The safest place in the club.
Yeah, I know… I was being a bit cheeky here with “at least a bit of an effort to complete”… Locking him down is at least some effort compared to the Liability in my book
Does the Hippo have anything to say about why the UFO isn’t around for this one?
Hello everybody
Wow what a nice surprise to see that despite completing The Drop Elusive Target on HITMAN III, i’m still able to replay it in 2024
I don’t think i will touch my already refined and finished Silent Assassin playthrough of L’Ambianceur but still, it is an interesting opportunity to replay it one more time, and even more through the Arcade mode now
So we have one month to complete the mission. I think that this time, i’ll do a live playthrough of it through twitch
I’ll let you know when something is up, stay tuned for updates on the forums
Silent Assassin Playthrough:
Cheers and cya SOON™
Great to have him replayable now so I can explore the VIP-only bar more.
The two civs in the corner don’t spot 47, leaving only 3 NPCs that pose a notable threat. And there’s a convenient freezer behind the bar that can be used for 2 of them. All the cover is also neat to have.
The corridor that goes to biker warehouse is a hostile area, but DJ by the bar doesn’t know that, so you can just stand at the edge of it and be safe from being spotted by him.
Apparently the platform above DJ room you can drop to from the trespassing area doesn’t count as trespassing. Almost got spotted by vaulting a ledge next to 2 guards blocking main entry and jumping down there to later climb to the private area, and got one of the voicelines for being seen doing a legal climbing action.
Bodyguard can be removed very early by going to the small trespassing area with crate and lead pipe by the projection bar and doing a thrown distraction. From what I tested Alexios will send his bodyguard to investigate where he’s easy to take out and hide.
The most boring assassination ever.
Used the default starting location with a durian and a gun picked from the “Entrance Staff Room”, threw the fruit between the target and the bodyguard (they start on the -1 level, as soon as you go downstairs via the “public” route you can find them watching the dancefloor near the guy with the speedos), followed him to the trash can (the one on his left in the small “staff only” zone) and shot (base et)/stabbed/strangled (arcade mode) him.
Then I hid his body in the nearby box and used the bike upstairs as my exit.
The ET as I said previously well done but I’m getting tired of playing the same ones over and over again, so I don’t even bother doing them anymore unless it’s a new or “special” one.
Oh yeah also the achievement for the greek suit showed that I didn’t unlock it even tho it was in my inventory? I think it’s probably because some weird shenanigans with the ET year coding stuff but who knows.
I think outright that IO are just putting in challenges that unlock stuff twice, as the challenge for The Drop (2024) is different from the challenge for The Drop (2023)
IO have started emailing out the stats for The Drop (2024):
Current fastest time: 17 seconds
Average time: 12 minutes and 30 seconds
Ok, who in the hell is using those 3 items during this ET to make those the most used items?
What’s wrong with these items? Both the MK3 syringe and the Goldballer are H3 unlocks, so it’s probably people who played H3 more than the H1-2 parts of WOA who used them?
Right, but how are so many people thinking to use these 3 during an ET playthrough that they’re the top rated 3? I’d expect poison at the very least, considering the clear and easy setup for it. Who is just liking the guy with a screwdriver?
This is more so a favor to ask towards the community. Any and all Infographics for anything and everything I’d appreciate if they are sent to me via PM so I can include them within the museum.
That’s been a section I’ve been neglecting during HITMAN 3’s content cycle and would appreciate obtaining the information.
This is adding salt to the wound of my failed mission and lost streak that they emailed me that this morning…
And someone actually got 28 seconds SA on Xbox too. I knew that strategy was possible to be pulled off. It was just so RNG!
Saw these stats today in my email and my first thought was, “number 1 kill method was the screwdriver??” … but then I saw that only 25% made silent assassin so… sure.
More importantly how the hell is anyone doing this in 17 seconds?!
Top scores on the leaderboards are around 30ish seconds and I also don’t understand that — but I haven’t watched any speedrun videos and some of y’all are just insane. I can do it SA in under 90 seconds and I thought that was fast…
Just to quote myself for a moment— yes, I understand that 17seconds is not SA, and you can just beeline to a line-of-sight (or line-of-explosive-throw), murder and keep running to an exit. I still think it’s fuckin fast, given the starting/exit points in this mission.
