@Canucklehead @ioi_lukasz i can confirm this method works, i too had the manage product in the Microsoft store but couldn’t install… going to the web store I was able to send the install file to my Xbox with no problem, reloaded Hitman 3 and all working… thanks for working round the clock… don’t feel many developers would be that bothered and just get round to it when we can… buzzing to play the campaign through now from scratch then get to experience hitman 3 in all its glory… thanks again
@ioi_lukasz: I woke up this morning to see this thread, went to the MS Store on my PC and saw this:
I hit install on my device, went to my console and an extra two add-ons were installed giving me access to the H2016 maps. On the Store tab in H3 it now has a tick on the HITMAN 3 Access Pass: HITMAN 1 GOTY Edition tile.
Thank you for your hard work. I hope you’re reading this after being able to get a good nights sleep too.
In terms of “getting it out there” you can rely on the good members here to let others know if we see the question being asked.
Hey guys,
Yes, we (with great help of Microsoft) deployed last fix around 4AM our time. This should now work for all of you, I was hoping that the dlc will automatically appear under your Addons list and no manual redeeming is needed - but at least it works!
Sorry for the problem, but great it works now:) happy weekend all!
It is working now for me as well. Thanks for fixing it!
On a separate note; are you guys aware of the issue that Xbox One X does not have a quality/performance mode option? It is always locked to 30fps… I’ve been asking on twitter but no response yet. Is this a mistake and will it be added or is it intended?
There are no modes in H3. It just performs incredibly on both next gen consoles. You get 60fps at native 4K on the Series X and Series S gets 1080p at 60fps.
Here is a Digital Foundry video where they test the next gen consoles. Definitely worth a watch.
I know. I am talking about Xbox One X, not Series X.
Xbox One X is the upgraded version of Xbox One and both do not have a performance mode option or framerate unlock option. The base PS4 does have an unlock option and the PS4 Pro had the performance mode option, while the One X is more powerful…
Check this topic: No Quality mode or Unlocked mode on Xbox One X
Really hope Lukasz or someone at IOI sees this.
It doesn’t seem to be working for me - what happened when you clicked on “intall on my devices”? The game tells me I own the pass now, but it doesn’t show up in the list of downloaded items when I go to “manage” on my Xbox, and clicking on “install on my devices” on the MS website on my laptop just brings up a popup saying “We’re attempting to install on your devices” but nothing else happens. Is there some indication of installation?
You all did amazing, @ioi_lukasz ! Thank you for your efforts in solving this issue. We all appreciate it!
Hehe. Now it’s time to take some nice photos in Sapienza, Landslide version!
@Atoning_Unifex for the install I just pressed the button and selected the Xbox One. It’s pretty simple and has no extra steps. Maybe you should just give it some more time. You did all there is to it.
It might take a bit of time, but you can double check by clicking the menu button of the Hitman 3 tile on your home screen and selecting “Manage Game and Add-ons”. Then select the Hitman 3 box at the top. Scroll down and check all the available add-ons. You may find the necessary GOTY add-ons haven’t installed automatically, so put ticks in the boxes and select install.
Thank you both for your help - I had to try it a few times, but just as I was composing a reply everything came to life and the checkboxes appeared. All good now!
Sadly, this did not fully fix the issue. The pass now shows as owned in the XBox store but has NO option to install to my XBox as there are in fact no items to install listed as part of it. Clicking the newly appeared “manage” button for the pass in the store takes me to a blank version of the usual manage installation page with no items listed as either installed or installable. Trying to install remotely from a web browser likewise adds zero items to my XBox’s install queue successfully. I do wonder why the GOTY access pass is not listed under Hitman 3 dlc but as its own distinct game. If you’d made it hitman 3 DLC like the Hitman 2 packs I should be able to just install it from the Hitman 3 manage screen now. Why this overcomplicated listing?
(LINK TO WHAT I SEE ON THE MANAGE PAGE FOR THE PASS)
Needless to say, if I go to manage the Hitman 3 installation only ten items are available to manage. The game, the 6 maps, the trinity pack, and hitman 2 standard and hitman 2 expansion. Within Hitman 3 it still directs me to the XBox store page to get the GOTY access pass. I also tried to click on the individual contents of the bundle to see if I could manually get to an install page for either of them (The first season and GOTY upgrade) and selecting either takes me back to the store page but lists the bundle at full price again, rather than showing it as owned for some reason.
Also as a new member apparently this is the last reply I am allowed to post so please Lukasz, get back to me with a private message or whatever if you need more detailed info and screenshots of what is still broken.
I will continue to post future responses below this line.
It did not help, no, as I stated, doing this from a browser successfully adds (0) items to my xbox install queue. Nothing installs. The pass which I now apparently own contains nothing which can be installed by any means.
If you had taken the time to read my post you’d see that I HAVE tried going to manage the Hitman 3 install and only 10 items are available to manage. This ain’t my first rodeo. I exhausted literally every option before even coming to this forum, and with every supposed fix, I go through the checklist of different means of installing everything from all available local and remote options right back from step one, fully power cycling my XBox between each attempt. As I clearly stated the only available items are the core game, the 6 maps, the trinity pack, and the Hitman 2 base game and hitman 2 expansions. There is no listing for anything else.
Every single available piece of content in the list is checked as installed, there is nothing relating to Hitman 2016 content available for installation.
I’d put more screenshots but new users are also limited in the number of links in a post. I have one showing the manage install page with 9 addons installed and one of every single available thing checked as installed, right up to the trinity pack and Hitman 2 levels. The two things the GOTY pass is supposed to contain are NOT listed under my Hitman 3 available content to install even as the pass now shows as owned in the store.
What’s clear is that simply owning the Hitman 3 Access Pass: Hitman 1 GOTY Edition is not enough to grant permissions to download Hitman 3 Access Pass: Hitman 1 Complete First Season, or Hitman 3 Access Pass: Hitman 1 GOTY Upgrade. Something needs to be fixed on the store end to actually make one unlock the other.
@ ioi_lukasz - is there possibly a way to grant an XBox user access to each of the two DLCs supposed to be included in the bundle individually, rather than through ownership of the bundle perhaps? The disconnect at this point now that we all seem to correctly show as owning the GOTY Edition access pass, seems to be between those of us for whom the pass actually gives us the bundled DLCs, available to install (either in our Hitman 3 game management screen or remotely via the XBox store) - and those of us whom it does NOT grant the two individual DLCs to, who still only show the game as having a total of 9 available addons for (or I guess 10 if you have the deluxe edition? I don’t know if the Deluxe suits and Escalations count as one DLC or two).
@ Waidfrau
Nope, as detailed in my post above, I have tried remotely installing it from the store page with no success. I use this method for most installs, since I have multiple XBoxes and it allows me to install to all of them simultaneously instead of needing to go to individual boxes to do it for each game. Attempting it with the GOTY pass simply “successfully” adds (0) items to my install queue. Which is… amusing, if nothing else. Other games are installing remotely fine, like Hitman 2016 itself, which I reinstalled via this very method as soon as I first encountered this bug upon successfully transferring my hitman 2 profile on thursday morning, since at first I hoped it might need to see the game installed to give me access to the pass.
Same for me as well. I go to the Xbox live store and it says I own the ‘GOTY’ edition. Like you said, it gives me no option to install to my Xbox and there are no items to install. I also click the “manage” button and it takes me to a blank version of the usual manage installation page with 0GB of items
Looks like it is partly fixed?
Yup, I have the same issue. Access pass shows up as owned, but no now addons or downloads available.
Hey guys,
This should help
Looking at that screenshot, @Sunyavadin, it looks like you’re in the wrong place. I’ve got some photos below to show where I went; it’s so annoying that we can’t take screenshots on Xbox and have to use phones!
On the home screen press the menu button on the H3 tile to bring up this box and select “Manage game and add-ons”
The next screen looks like this. Select the top box (HITMAN 3 Game Installed)
On the next screen you should find in that list HITMAN 3 Access Pass: HITMAN 1 Complete First Season and HITMAN 1 GOTY Upgrade.
Make sure they say installed. If they don’t put ticked in the box and select Install (which should appear on the right).
You may need to restart H3, but hopefully that works.
Same here, thank you @ioi_lukasz
@Sunyavadin
@Lewisnic1
@illuvatar
If it say you own the Access Pass but nothing happen when you click on install over the Microsoft Store Homepage then look if you have “remote features” ( 1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide and go to Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Remote features.) and instant on (in the energy settings) on your Xbox enabled.
I had the problem too that nothing happened at first when I clicked on “install on my devices” over the Microsoft Store Homepage but after I did above steps it installed right away.
Hey all,
Just to be clear, we know this solution is not the best, as clearly it requires some additional steps that it should not. The more advance, and yet another fix for this situation will be coming early next week (Monday hopefully).
Don’t think we will just let it be as it is, our main objective before weekend was to make sure there is a way to get the DLC at all, and it was… somehow achieved. But that doesn’t mean we will let it be like this.
Thank you all for feedback and more info, please keep it coming,
Best,
Lukasz
@ioi_lukasz
We say thanks to you and the others at IO Interactive for your afford to fix that asap.
Enabling Remote Features in settings and then installing the Access Pass through PC worked for me! Thanks for the help.
@ioi_lukasz Any chance you guys could comment on this issue for xbox? That even Xbox One X is limited to 30fps and has no performance/quality options… No Quality mode or Unlocked mode on Xbox One X
