My GT is “Desynthesis”–and on my end, nothing has changed since yesterday when I picked up a copy of the game (standard edition). I still have the two pieces of Access Pass DLC for Hitman 2, and all of the Hitman 3 content, but nothing for Hitman 1.

Of course, because of how convoluted the licensing system is, I’m not sure if the DLC is broken, the acquisition system is broken (though I bet it won’t prevent me from giving IOI more of my money, haha), or both. I’ve been refreshing those two pages on the Microsoft store to see if anything changes, but I doubt it’s on Microsoft’s end frankly. I’d even be tempted to just pay the $10 and reward IOI for, well, buggy software except who’s to say that’s actually going to work? Back to the waiting game in the meantime.

Hey guys, it is 1 AM here, we investigated the problem further, and our recent changes should have helped lots of users, however not all of them.

The issue is rooted deep in the product system, and we need help of Microsoft to solve it fully. They will work on this further and hopefully have solution by tomorrow. But if not, then we will need to wait until Monday.

Sorry for bad news, we are trying to fix the issue.

Thanks for the update. I just launched HITMAN2 as I keep the disc in most of the time and saw the H3 access pass in the store tab as free. MS store also said free so hang tight.

Hm, that fixed it for now. Playing Santa Fortuna on H3…

! :slight_smile: We need to communicate this wider, as I see a lot of people with H2 DISC unable to obtain the Access Pass - probably they are just going to store instead of using in-game link :frowning:

Your method was so asinine I figured that it would work. The MS store must need verification from the game or something, who knows.

I remain suspicious that it’s as simple as a SKU issue with the license check and the two distinct SKUs of the Hitman 2 GOTY Legacy Pack in the XBox store, the one which all the posted links in FAQs keep sending me to that asks me to buy it, and the one I currently have every single piece of installed and can play (or could, right up until the servers crapped out on H3 launch day and Hitman 2 began giving me constant disconnects halfway through missions), which has its own distinct XBox store page that tells me I own it and gives me a prompt to install it if it wasn’t already.

My guess is the two different SKUs are a legacy of the different Hitman 2016 upgrade paths to get your owned levels in Hitman 2. In my case, and that of many others I see having the issue, that we purchased the digital edition of Hitman 2016 before GOTY existed, then purchased the GOTY upgrade to unlock the levels in Hitman 2.

By the looks of it, the vast majority of people who have this particular issue–still have it. The complexity of the licensing scheme means, understandably, a few different glitches arose, so at least some are getting addressed.

It’d just be nice if I could enjoy Hitman 3 without having to constantly check I am not accidentally bringing the wrong game’s mastery unlock poison into a mission, because if I try to load a save with it, it tells me I “do not own this content”…

I now have the H1 access pass on Xbox. After playing H3 for a bit tonight, I checked the store out of curiosity, stubbornness, a disturbance in the Force, and the page stated that I could mange the item. However, I was unable to install on my Xbox as no items were shown under Ready to Install.

I was able to remotely install via my phone through the Microsoft store page.(https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/p/hitman-3-access-pass-hitman-1-goty-edition/9mzxdjdq1f19). Going through the webpage successfully installed the two H1 access pass files.

Hopefully others are able to now install.

@ioi_lukasz I have responded to our DMs about the Xbox Store issues still present to help IOI fully resolve the issue than the “Band-Aid” soulution I have publicly provided here.

Same here! The Hitman 1 Goty access pasdes finally worked! I played Hitman 3 for awhile and decided to do one more hard reset and check the store. When I searched for it, it said I owned the access pass, but it was still asking me to pay for it when I clicked on the item store page.

I checked my games and apps and it wasn’t listed there either. I also went to the microsoft store on my phone and successfully downloaded the passes: Hotman 1 Complete First Season and Goty Upgrade. Will edit this post if something turna out to be off.

All righty! The GOTY at last appears as owned but still isn’t showing me the option to install it. At least now I have the option to redeem it. Just gonna wait a bit more for it to actually let me install it.

Can confirm that everything work for me now and that I have finally access to the Hitman 1 levels in Hitman 3. Thank you Io!
