Yes or No...? 2

Watch them fully remake them to fit more modern game design and you absolutely hate them

Edit: I really am gonna kill someone

I do find that interesting, the soundtracks of Hitman have in many ways been just as crucial to the experience as the gameplay. Where today I don’t put the same empathise on music as I did with the soundtracks Jesper Kyd scored.

I always loved listening to Kyd’s work and still does it from time to time. Not just his work on Hitman, but also Ezio’s Family which is still think is his best work.

i’m not sure why, but i feel like the older games were more closely tied to their music. it wasn’t just there, you know, but an intrinsic part of the experience. can’t put my finger on it…

still, the woa music has been good overall.

I very much agree and is also overall how I feel. Oddly enough I feel the same way about HITMAN 2015 E3 Trailer and the HITMAN Legacy Trailer music that they are as much tied to the Providence Trilogy as Jesper Kyd’s music was to the 4 first games. Sadly they are not part of the game.

i’ll have to have a relisten to the e3 one. the legacy track was excellent. didn’t even realise it wasn’t used anywhere else. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

the 2016 menu music does have an alluring sense of mystery to it though. fits the political/conspiracy thriller mood.

My favourite OST from Niels comes in Colorado, all of the Patient Zero campaing and Sgail. Hopefully I will love the whole OST for H3!

The trailers have made me confident that it will be great.

Note I am not doing any of the dead films after Day because they suck and Return is actually the Living Dead series (it is complicated)

damn… that’s tough. they’re all really good, but day has captain henry ‘monkey farm’ rhodes, so it wins by default.

I haven’t even seen Day but the way Joe Piscopo delivers that line makes it stand out when I see it on the internet from time to time

that man must have some serious dental plan because he chews a lot of scenery. everything he says is gold, jerry.

It is his only film, he was a stand up comic at one point, firmly in the Purgatory-Hell hybrid celebrities call the Z-List.

oh really? never knew he was a stand-up.

fun fact: he was the forklift truck driver in the original wishmaster. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Ok, so after some hesitation I decided to go with Contracts (with BM a close second), but I should say I love all the Hitman soundtracks. Well, except Absolution´s, which is just way too generic and unremarkable to me.

Btw, it would be interesting to see what this poll would look like if H16, H2 and H3 were rated separately. I think there was a significant spike in quality between H16 and H2 (and am looking forward to what we hear in H3), so I wonder what results it would yield.

My top 3:
1.Contracts
2.Silent Assassin
3.HITMAN Triology(more precisely H2,I don’t like H16’s soundtrack too much)
