Winter Roadmap | Hitman 3

sorry if my typing didn’t make sense

OK. Most of us won the December roadmap BINGO:

Holiday hoarders, like every December… - check
Hokkaido Snow Festival - check
repeat of elusive targets for Hitman III - check
fan-curated content - check
no novel content created by IOI - check

In January 2022 associated with launch of Hitman III on Steam, we get a peak of the roadmap of all the exciting “new” content to drive 2022 Steam sales in 2022…

The disabled saves is presumably due to the fact that originally Holiday Hoarders was removed after a certain date when it first released in 2016. If you were able to save, you would then be able to load that save once the time period was over and continue to play it.

As stated above, it was removed when it became permanent in H1. It was re-introduced when Holiday Hoarders was again time-limited in December 2018 for H2, but wasn’t removed again when it became permanent in December 2019. Apparently that has carried over to H3 now too where it is just immediately permanent.

Any chances of having the save games blocked removed in a future patch @Travis_IOI and/or @Clemens_IOI ?

Saved games generally get disabled following a major update.

The first two were definitely part of People’s “bingo cards”, but all the ET’s being ran did kinda come out of nowhere.

I mean, they did that throughout 2021, they deserve a break in that department.

Nice video @Clemens_IOI !

All of this content looks interesting for new or casual players, but that’s too bad that there is no new content for the end of year 1 to all the regular players

However (finally) adding the Seasonal events as a permanent addition to the game is a good point and a smart move :+1:

Also, giving to the players the opportunity to replay ALL HITMAN 3 Elusive Targets within the same month really feels like christmas :hugs:

It’s a great opportunity for all of those who haven’t be able to play them to get a new chance, awaiting the most anticipated incoming Arcade Mode, even if the time window will be short.

Hopefully the best is yet to come with the Year 2 who looks promising with a lot of interesting and long-awaited content

Thanks again to the IOI devs for listening to their loyal and passionate community that have been supporting them for years.

Wishing a happy winter and a merry christmas to all the HITMAN players out there, cheers

Yes of course IOI deserve a break! We are likely getting a lot in 2022, so the end of 2021 is consequently a dry spell for new content generated by IOI. Explains why we get a holiday roadmap released with an accompanying video but no live stream for December from IOI.

Not only did IOI provide new content of some sort every month in 2021, but they have constantly updated and patched their game. Compared to most game releases in 2021, Hitman III was released very polished and almost bug free.

A secret to marketing is not to overhype what you will release because consumers will raise expectations and kill you on not meeting their expectations. Keep your cards close and over-deliver rather than over-promise.

So it was definitely something to have to co-owner of IOI, Hakan Abrak, hype up Hitman III for 2022. This was no error. IOI know they have an avid fan base. They must have big plans for Hitman III in 2022… And they know this future content will please their fan base.

CD Projekt Red (Cyberpunk 2077) and Hello Games (No Man’s Sky) made the amateurish mistake in over-hyping and over-promising their game titles. The blowback is that these games got much worse press than they deserve.

Makes me think, If Holiday Hoarders and Snow Festival are permanent editions, what will they do for Christmas Year 2?

Hopefully this means we get some additional content at the end of year 2 as well, (Or should we just call it -steam- year as that’s the only reason for the extended drop?)

Year One has been disappointing compared to what we got with 2016 and H2, but if IOI continue in year 2 to pump out content of the quality from 2016 and H2, I’ll be happy with a little Christmas breathing room from a roadmap that offers older players very little, and I reply HH every Christmas even though I’ve done all the challenges, its just so fitting and I’m just happy to see it returned to my screen for completion sakes. Would love contract modes and save unlock for HH , but would also love that for the mills reverie and Berlin egg hunt and snow festival… I know in many cases its just a reskin, but … eh I’d like to make seasonal contracts in the appropriate arenas.

The ETs are returning, but if you completed them you can’t do them again? That’s how it reads. Bugs in two of the new ETs prevented me from getting the SA achievement and I wanted the opportunity to try again (I also had reported the bugs). If we can’t replay it with this re-release, I will be put out.

I am not expecting that the Elusive Target re-releases that are happening this month and next will be playable if you’ve already completed them or failed. It’s pretty standard for Elusive Targets. Clemens also said specifically that they were being released for those that missed them the first time through.

They never even teased that. If you get disappointed then by yourself.

Got it done as usual. Recorded one of the most fun and easiest ways to complete this gem. :santa:

I just walked in there, shot Marv in the head as he was walking toward me, then went upstairs and fiber wires Harry, then his the bodies and sauntered out. Didn’t even give them a chance to steal anything, and I put their crowbars on top of the containers I put their bodies in. No restarts or anything. Exactly the way I wanted to complete it on a first try.

Have the challenges reset on HH ? Or are they set to complete if you’ve done them in H2?

Lol…what. Just…what.

The 7DS content was arguably some of the most creative and interesting things they’ve done in a while.
