Oh dude you are good. We will get it. I was more bellyaching that we use the same symbol as the Mexicans do for pesos. Usually it’s abundantly clear if the price is in dollars or pesos bc the exchange rate is so lop sided, but occasionally it’s an ass pain. Hotel lobby bar prices in cancun and futball player salaries are sometimes at that point where you’re like “well either that’s SUPER expensive or maybe just below average, I can’t tell.”

Went thrift shopping today for some leftover costume pieces for Halloween.

This isn’t a part of that, but could be a great item for a future costume/cosplay thing, and wouldn’t be too difficult.

Got some Alan Wake vibes from this jacket, and it was pretty cheap. :yum: :flashlight: I’ll be putting this on the costume list for the future.

I had this English Lit professor my second year of uni who actually wore those tweed patch jackets. He allowed us to take mid-session breaks which were just poorly disguised smoke breaks for him.

Bought a new pair of boots for the autumn and winter months. At 60% off at my local outlet store.

I also bought a new set of Winter tires, Instead of a Playstation 5. Not that I need a Playstation 5 before God of War Ragnarok, In the end I felt that Road safety was more important at the end of the day.

Not only was it on sale, but I’ll actually get to wear it this year since it’s almost November and still no snow.

Could always go as the 11th Doctor if you want something pretty easy.

Nice. I think I’d rather have a brown tweed jacket for that instead.

In my final years of high school I dressed as Doctor #10 though! Sonic screwdriver and everything!

…actually I think it’s the exact same merch as the one in this hitman fanart lol
Edit: ok, not quite, but it’s close

I’ll see if I can find a picture of the costume, I don’t have one on me right now

I’m not a Doctor but you shouldn’t ingest Vinyl, that shit is probably poisonous.

Fun Fact: Eating any form of musical recording is poisonous. I say that if you want to ingest the music you listen to, start with the instruments.

And a Christmas present for our son. He’s going to jump through the roof. I’m going to wire in another battery to increase the AH (runtime.)

He loves my Wrangler so it’s time he gets a clone.

A bit late to the party by about 21 years but today I got myself this fat boi

Had a bit of trouble hooking it up because I was getting a No signal on my two TVs and PC monitor using the HDMI adapter but with a bit of Google magic, I was able to get it to work

That’s cool! PS2 was my first console too. What games are you gonna play first? Or do you plan to just use it as a DVD player?

I have a friend who bought a PS3 just to play blue-rays. I always told him what a wasteful usage that was. :joy:

At the moment I don’t have any “legitimate” games. The memory card has freemcboot on it and the seller also sent me a 64GB flash drive with 3 games. The guy even asked if I had preferences for games so that he can fill it with games but I said it wasn’t necessary since I plan to buy original copies.
A good thing about this is that the tray wasn’t used that much and works just fine. Heard it was a big issues with the PS2 phat model.
As for games, hmmm, The Getaway, MGS 2 and 3, Vice City and Liberty City Stories, God of War 1 and 2 and a couple of other PS2 exclusive games :stuck_out_tongue:

I will probably still end up making copies of the games and use the flash drive, that way I don’t bust the tray / laser / discs.

I remember my first ps2. I was 14 and my mom took me to work at her job as a dish washer.
I loved it because I was earning money and made me feel close to being an adult.
With my first salary I bought the Playstation 2 slim version and Hitman Blood Money with it.

I was 7 when the PS2 came out and years ago I found an old thing I wrote in school back in the second grade.

It was a couple paragraphs on why the PS2 was amazing and why The Simpsons Road Rage was the best game ever made.

I think I was 6 when during Christmas / New Year I went carolling and got enough money to buy the Russian NES knockoff, the Dendy or how we all call it here, joc pe televizor which literally translates to games on TV.
Was never able to get any other consoles since I couldn’t afford them on my own and my parent never saw the need for consoles / computers, though they did buy me 2 PCs throughout the years. They’re more or less technologically impaired and don’t care about these kind of stuff.

Even if it’s a Crazy Taxi knockoff, they even got sued for it, I still have it on my wishlist. The devs even learned from their mistakes and made Hit & Run which is far superior though still repetitive. Did manage to 100% it recently. Still not sure about The Simpsons: Game, heard it’s not as good…
