I’ll take on both your weapons with the Shock Paddles from Saints Row 2. It can take life and give it. You can get shot in the head, blown up, burned, and one zap from these boys can fix you right up.

It can also shockingly launch your victim and lead them to bleed out if desired to be used as a weapon.

What better way to catch ghosts? And if you and your friends split up, you can cause more damage in public that way.

Don’t cross the streams, it would be bad. Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light. Unless you are standing in a cross-dimensional portal, you may just close the door with explosive results.

This is a real gamble for me since I’ve never played any of the games but I’ll put up the Buster Sword from the Final Fantasy series. I don’t know why but that character’s hair actually angers me - although the sword is kinda neat.

At first I wanted to reply that Monster Hunter had bigger greatswords but then I remembered there are even weirder weapons in that series, and that includes my personal favorite the gunlance:

Which is basically some kind of portable cannon that can poke at things in a pinch, with a complimentary shield for defence and monster bits here and there for style. The reloading animation in particular is absolutely awesome, as it’s more or less reloaded like a sawn-off shotgun except it’s like five times bigger and your character swings it around as if it weighted nothing

The switch axe and charge blade are also really cool looking, as they can change dynamically from an axe into a sword and back, but I totally suck with them so I’m team gunlance for life.

With the new trailers about the upcoming Persona 3 remake, Reload, coming out, it feels like a good time to bring up the Evoker, the weapon all the party members of Persona 3 use and you’ll see in screenshots and the front cover. The Evoker is not a real gun, it’s an empty piece of metal that looks like a gun. It’s true power is when weilded by a Persona user, as when they point the gun to themselves, and accept the concept of death, they can use their Persona abilities such as casting elemental magic, healing, support, or some very nasty ailment spells. Gloriously emo.

Also, the battle theme of P3 is called “Mass Destruction”, so seemed to fit this thread even more.

Wow, you and @Melusca are coming with an impressive (and terrifying) arsenal.

Looks like the Gunlance againest the Buster Sword and the Evoker againest the Ghostbuster Proton Pack. (Unless I’m mistaken?)

That sounds about right. There’s lots of weapons from Final Fantasy you can bring up. My favourite is the sports ball a party member uses in FFX.
