Hence why I added the Hollywood bit, to give him an out if it’s not him who makes such a boneheaded decision.

I don’t like the trailer insistence on “we might ignite the atmosphere”. It was quickly disproven, and the one impact it had was that scientists who knew that used it to scare technicians and soldiers for fun (and small bets).
But it might just be because it’s the trailer.

The one things that I want is Feynman, and Fermi.

Hell, I want a whole other movie that runs in parallel to this one titled Feynman. Exact same event timeline, but the movie is a goofball comedy

Most likely we’ll get a completely unnecessary romantic subplot (you don’t bring Emily Blunt in to just be pretty), an overly dramatic “end of the world” fear, and some sort of amazing conflict to overcome that has no basis in reality.

It won’t be a documentary - it’ll be a drama with too much drama.

Everyone is doom and gloom.

I don’t expect Oppenheimer to be a documentary, I also don’t expect it to have large studio interference. It’s Nolan.

I expect it to give me a thriller mood. To transmit the atmosphere. I’m excited for it because there is apparently an emphasis on the building of the project, the putting of the team, the teamwork the long time work and consequences of it. Dunkirk vibe for the historical side, every “team” Nolan movies for the rest.

On the “romantic plot tumour because the wife is here and played by Emily Blunt”.
I expect it to be more of the “she was involved on the project on biological effect of radiation”, “she’s a card carrying member of the US Communist Party, and that was very important after the war and when everyone looked at what was created and its consequences. Security Hearings and all”, and yes also maybe a bit of “Oppenheimer was a famous womanizer, and a lot happens for them as a couple”. But not a full fledge sexist “woman equal romantic conflict and that’s it”

I have never been disappointed by a Nolan flick, and I love that they put a large emphasis on the logistics and planning of its actions. And the discussions of team members.

with nolan, i expect poor sound mixing, overly long and borderline patronising exposition, and an overall gripping movie. i still think memento is my favourite thing he’s done.

The wha?

Is Theatre Kid Theory Man on Broadway now??

Yeah Mat and his wife produced a production of Grey House. Seems to be some sort of horror stage production, it is kind of nice to see him do well for himself. I was never a Game/Film Theory person but he always seems so nice.

Ahh yes I remember being 13 when this movie got announced back in 2015. Scrip got shipped around Universal , Scott wasn’t satisfied with what he was seeing til we eventually got this. The FNAF movie was in development hell til the past year.

It’s gonna be Blumhouse Horror and for anyone who knows a thing or two about Blumhouse a lot of what they produce is on the cheap meant for a PG13 release cause PG13 releases get the most money compared to R.

The expectation going forward is it’s gonna be dumb fun. Despite the streaming on Peacock Day 1 deal I don’t see a world where this movie isn’t profitable since FNAF’s fanbase is massive with it being up there with Goosebumps in the 90’s. Between Game Theory fans, the strong LGBTQ Community that FNAF has, the endless sea of little kids, and of course the people who grew up with the original 4 games there is definitely gonna be alot of discussion this October since the FNAF community all together will be eating good.

This comes out in AUGUST?! We only just got the first trailer a few months ago but this comes out in AUGUST?!! Hell yeah animaniacs, we eatin’ good this summer. I thought this was a Fall project.

The teens being played by teens doing teen hijinks is so fun, I can’t wait for this, and I’m not even a fan of TMNT

Dafuq they do to Splinter and April Oneill? Those are some fugly ass designs.

I think that’s an intentional choice if you look to the other human and mutant designs. Everything seems to be slightly off kilter and crooked and not perfect. Like the teenager attempting to draw. which i think is perfect for tmnt

It’s definitely an intentional ugliness. Some backgrounds and props look sketched-out and “unfinished” art, but its all cohesive like that, so it fits together well.

Probably playing into the themes of how the Turtles are treated, not conforming to traditional appearances. (Even then the humans kinda look odd too)

Is that Beebop and Rocksteady as Wario and Waluigi?

can i say that i genuinly love this look. I love how the perspective on bebop is super flat and it makes him look really graphic and graffiti like. The stumpy proportions on rocksteady with the really rough texturing make him look fantastic aswell
