Things About Hitman You Just Found Out

I could swear i’ve heard the name Noel Crest recently for the first time in Paris (by the balcony where Dalia drinks) although its a H1 map.

Yep, Noel Crest is also referenced by some guards in Colorado. They reference quite a few future targets in Hitman 2016: Janus in the ICA Facility, Alma Reynard and The Maelstrom in Colorado, Don Yates in both Bangkok and Hokkaido, etc.

I don’t know if they actually had plans to make them targets in future missions or if when making the future maps they chose what names were mentioned earlier that they could use. Mr. Jason Portman mentions how he looks like Hush in Hokkaido which is meant to reference the Batman villain, but is that line why they named the target in Chongqing Hush?

I believe devs once explained that the targets were not planned out.
But they intentionally wrote this flexible interconnected web of names to take from for future inspiration.

I was a conscious decision to assure one the central theme of WoA.
“Read between the newsfeed, follow the money, join the dots. There is a world beyond yours where economics and luxury collide with violence and power.”

And it worked.

To an extent, because the names and locations that aren’t picked up for later use are a bit frustrating.

But isn’t that the beauty of it? You listen into all of these conversations and hear a variety of names being discussed. It’s world building. And it makes sense that only some of those names will end up being future targets.

The world building would fall flat if you knew that every single name you hear is a reference to a future target/character. The conversations would seem less natural if 100% of them were directly relevant to the main story of the game.

You are right of course!
Still, that Whittleton Creek news report on a conference in a winter resort still stings

I just found out that you can get a talking hippo on the berlin map by the swamp who talks about the ICA in a very deep and intimidating voice, I love the devs and that hippo :innocent:

Cassidy’s bodyguards have an earpiece. Very small feature that does totally make sense, but I suppose because I prefer the camera to be over the right shoulder of 47 I don’t see it too often.

Also, the latest update has changed Gunther’s dressing gown a little bit.

It previously looked like this:

Huh… what the heck, why the change now?? (Unless some texture got bugged and it’s not supposed to be grid-like)

Nobody can say its dead game that only gets meaningless content now!

I seriously question the fashion taste of someone who decides to wear a giant napkin (not that the giant towel he was wearing before was any better).

Wouldn’t be an update if a couple of additional suits didn’t get messed up… Should go on the hotfix list right next to the Flamingo one. (and frankly, the devs should do a thorough review of all the suits/disguises, because the amount of glitches and misfit with 47’s H3 model is borderline infuriating)

Weird one I experienced for the first time. I’ve had targets spawn out of bounds before but I’ve never had a suspect in a showdown take off running out of bounds (literally sprinting across water) . I was going to let them run forever but then I realized if they are my target I’m screwed so I had to put them down. Killing them did alert an assassin, but didn’t cause any other suspects to flee. I guess because it was so far away.

i would guess what happens is maybe one of the new suits is a modification of this gown, so it’s probably a bug. same thing happened with the disruptor suit where it messed up the sunglasses of other outfits

im still waiting for them to fix tie-clipping on all of the Signature Suit variants

Yeah, likely the Splitter boxer suit (which is glitchy itself btw, cause 47’s ass is clipping through it)

I’m still waiting for a whole lot more than those…

Targets walking OOB is a classic, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen one so eager to get outta there

Yea totally wild. I wonder what triggered that. I didn’t do a single illegal act up until that point. I also wonder where they were going? Did they have a destination or were they just gonna keep running Infinitely? :joy_cat:

While wearing the Hacker disguise in Colorado on Casual difficulty, it is legal to carry large firearms. It is illegal to carry pistols, bombs, axes, swords, etc. however. Not something I just found out, but something that I had forgotten about, and encountered again today.
