Not something about the games, but has anyone noticed how the Hitman Twitter account is reposting a lot of nonsense lately?
I just found that out.

I just found that out.
I guess that’s what has been combatglue so busy that they haven’t been active here since March 12th…
They’re sharing user generated content, a totally normal and standard thing to do as a brand account.
47 made the national news website in Belgium today by having gotten third spot as most iconic
Video game character after Lara Croft and Mario.
I think it’s a pretty impressive achievement given all the competition out there.
It’s certainly impressive, I would not have thought that 47 could score a third place. The competition is tough. I wouldn’t personally put him in a top 3. He’s definitely my favourite video game character, but outside my own little bubble, I wouldn’t place him that high.
However congratulations to David Bateson and IO for bringing him to life.
47 certainly deserves it!! He’s come a very long way since Codename 47
Today I found out that the maximum Player Profile level in WoA is currently set to 7501. It doesn’t move beyond this with any additional XP gains despite the new level symbol having the Roman numeral for “one” which would indicate it should go beyond this.
How did I find this out? I reached it.
Although on the game menus along the bottom in the right-hand corner, it is listed as level 7500.
It used to be lower than that (2500 IIRC?), I remember some patch notes saying it was increased to 7500, with the title changing every 2500. Kinda weird they used “venator” (“hunter”) instead of “predator” for the title though
It was the May 2022 patch, it increased the maximum player profile level from 5000 to 7500.
https://ioi.dk/hitman/patch-notes/2022/may-patch-notes
And the then unknown Apex Venator at 7501.
The badges themselves repeat themselves every 2500. @thrison has the same as a level 1, hence the roman numeral visible, it’s a grandfathered artefact.
The only change is the text/motto/legend, a form of prestige level of a sort.
I played around with it afterward on Peacock. Ended up figuring out that the limit is 7,500, but I ended up at 7,501 because I had earned enough XP in the run by playing Freelancer that it counted the additional XP to cross the limit.
There’s also a full suite of badges to cover levels 7,501-10,000. Plus there is “Sicarius Silens” which covers 10,001-12,500. 12,501+ doesn’t have any badge changes and retains the badge for 12,500.
Perhaps they added these all in, but forgot to lift the limit?
I bet they will increase the profile level gradually until the time of wrapping up the game support
In Marrakesh, owner of the shoe shop whose route overlaps with Strandberg’s evacuation route has special dialogue when they pass each other near the well.
He’ll panic and try to convince one of the escorting soldiers how he doesn’t recognise the escorted person, has prosopagnosia and apparently also memory issues.
Because the Sarajevo Six came to PC only relatively recently, I never realized that a newspaper in Marrakesh (on the rooftop where the Entertainer ET is) has a picture of John Stubbs aka the Veteran (the Bangkok target).
There are a few curious things in the S6 missions that don’t show up in the main campaign; or at least, either I’ve never noticed them or IOI added them relatively recently. These include things like a combat knife in the apartment in Sapienza where you can get the security outfit and keycard to Caruso’s villa; a bottle of poison pills in General Zaydan’s office, and a few small others that I found but can’t remember at the moment.
This I know present in the regular mission as well
Was that always there or just added to H3, because I don’t ever remember its presence from H1 or H2?
As for this one, I’m pretty sure it was always there, too. Can’t say I’ve checked recently but it 100% was there in the previous games
I have never once seen that knife in that apartment before S6, and I’ve used that path dozens of times, getting the disguise, getting the card, and getting the spare pistol that’s found in the next room. I’ve seen a kitchen knife in there before, but never the combat knife. And it’s the same for the poison pill bottle mentioned above. I’ve been in Zaydan’s office before S6, looked around for anything useful in every corner, even spiked the drink in there to see who would be poisoned by it, but until S6, never once encountered a poison pill bottle next to that wine glass.
By the way, something I recently caught: in Dubai, the Laundry Room hidden stash/smuggling thumbnail showcase a different NPC in the room, and some other design changes.
Most interesting: the current one is a male Event Staff, so you can easily take his disguise. While the one showcased is a woman (and a Maintenance Staff), so no disguise, no opportunity.
Also, while the placed disguise is already there, the shelves were shuffled around. Another interesting change.
It’s small, but I like to think it’s an illustration of the constant little tweaks the game received in development. The ones made for the flow, room reading, interactions, balance…
