I think having a relatively consistent profile picture through theme or just visuals is one of the various things that makes a user iconic.
When I first joined the forum back in 2018 I just used a generic rubber duck, but eventually you just find yourself and something that clicks and is essentially indicative to who the person is.
I haven’t said this before but I have a strong passion for cel animation and the aesthetic it brings compared to digital ink and paint, cel drawn animation is something that always appealed to me and is why that one frame from Akira became my profile picture despite not being a big Anime watcher.

Damnit! That was supposed to be a surprise! 
(Truth be told, I can’t do it at the moment. My tablet’s in need of a charge and I’m literally about to go to bed. I will get you that cake tomorrow though, unless someone beats me to it.)

May I suggest Paint.NET?
It’s a free open-source editing/art software that goes above and beyond what Microsoft’s basic Paint can do, bring it closer to something more sophisticated and complex like Photoshop.
I mostly use that to edit pictures and memes, and my art mostly gets drawn on Medibang Paint, also free.

Every computer based art tool seems to go beyond MS Paint it seems…
But I could give them a shot later on. But I am still not much of an artist…

There’s also Krita | Digital Painting. Creative Freedom., a free open source painting software that Indianagent47 uses according to his artstation. (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3d8xdo)
It even has a forum(https://krita-artists.org/) that feels similar.
