No, that’s his wine fridge. You don’t get to see it unless you spawn upstairs (or use the ladder to get out of the basement).
I agree with empressofpersia that his actual fridge is probably in the tall cabinet next to it.

I’ve only opened up new areas during the CTT. I haven’t got that far yet in this current one. Must’ve forgotten that detail. 
I genuinely wish we had a way to close the fridge/door again. Sometimes I just want to play in my Barbie Dreamhouse for a while before leaving in my boat.

I entered the bathroom before reaching level 31 and my mirror is working, so this probably doesn’t have anything to do with sneaking in?
But I was also able to climb back up after using the escape hatch, so maybe it’s my game that’s bugged. 
Yeah maybe that’s just a graphic issue I have than 
You mean that ladder leading behind the garage? I can climb that back, too.
No, I mean the ladder that leads from the bedroom to the underground section.
Well, you can, but I like having some sneaky access to the room long before I can enter the front door!
