The Safehouse Thread

Since the safehouse is gone for the time being…

I’m thinking right now - to go “shopping” in various locations. Taking screenshots of items I would like or wouldn’t mind having in and around my safehouse.

Why? Well, I’m certain not everything that can be unlocked WAS unlocked in the trial period. And I suppose the things I’ll pick will never be available since they likely wouldn’t match 47’s tastes… But more of my own personal taste. I’ll also be choosing a few whimsical items. Not so much “my taste” but muey interesante.

That is… I hope to. If not later today, then sometime this week.

Edit: Eh, I suppose anyone else is free to do this if they have their eye set on some thing/s.

I was thinking of doing something similar myself!

Oh totally. It’s going to be a lot of fun.

I’m fond of the meeting place inside the clocktower in Sapienza. The old school flooring and wooden furniture.

That and most things from Dartmoor. The Bird cage could be cute too

Some posters from each location would be nice. I recall Haven, Sapienza and Miami had some.

The possibilities are endless!

I think there’s path leading to the ruins out the back of the shed that will open upon reaching a certain mastery level. I also heard that there’s a distillation apparatus inside the shed that lets you turn mushrooms into poison once you have unlocked access.

I don’t own a pc with steam on it, or even steam available

If I did that probably half of Marrakesh would end up in my safehouse lol

I´m 50/50 on the safehouse.

It is a beautiful location. Visually appealing.

But I just don´t see the point of it. I don´t care if 47 has a carpet or a plant next to his bedroom door, I just want to play the game.

After I unlocked everything in the safehouse, I had no reason to visit it (apart from getting items - like banana for the “Make target slip” challenge).

To each their own, it’ll already be more interesting with 100 Masteries instead of 25, and they might make it a bit more interactable, who knows, but it’s still going to be a house you can decorate and nothing much more so if you don’t like it I think it’s fair

1st stop is Paris.

Lots and lots of old az paintings, statues, some animal heads… Some of the Ceilings!

A Grand Piano.

A Grand Radio… Er, cool radio. If you can ever get that xylophone jazz song to tune in.

There might be another in Sapienza… But this globe.

This vase.

There are a few paintings that I’d like too, even some of the model ships are nice.

Sapienza…

Old Creepy Paintings

Big ol’ Kitty Fountain? Why yes!

Marrakech… “These are indeed dark times.”

Yeah, I don’t even know where to begin here.

But I’d say if they’re smoking that much they might not be FCC/UL approved.

The Consolate has some nice tranquil nature’ish pictures. But these lights? Much more tasteful than those street lamps. :smirk:

And this one has a whole mood going. :+1:

Next up would be Bangkok. But I think that’s enough for now.

In all honesty, I was a little disappointed in one aspect of the safehouse. I anticipated being to decorate it a la the Sims but it was just mastery based. It didn’t fit my taste or style very well (though 47 seemed at home there). I guess I was hoping for more of a build-mode mechanic but that wasn’t built into it (not that it really should have been, honestly). The game is not about decorating a house.

Isn’t the whole point of it just to show where 47 has been lodging since the conclusion of H3?

I remember reading during the entire WOA trilogy, everyone wanted some type hideout, very much like Blood Money, where 47 spent his tie recuperating and storing his weapons etc.

Now IOI are giving us the best of both worlds, you play the game hunting down syndicate leaders and targets, but also crash at the SafeHouse making it into your own themed area once you aren’t carrying out missions.

The problem is that a lot of players want things they don’t actually want to play.

It’s neat to see the wall of weapons and look at all of 47’s hardware right there in a place you can just pick up a rifle or a pistol or a SMG and play with them. The shooting gallery right there lets you actual fire those weapons and get close to them.

Once you’ve done that though, what else is there? How do you play with the safehouse? It’s visual appeal is obvious but how playable is it? How much are we going to want to stand at a counter drinking wine or sit in a lounge chair relaxing?

The safehouse isn’t the main point of the mode, which is good, because it isn’t the point. It’s just a way to show off 47’s arsenal and let him be a character a little bit.

Some of us enjoy the WoA as much for the screenshots as the assassination…

Personally I’m MORE interested in the Safehouse Barbie stuff than I am the randomly generated Freelancer campaigns. The best thing about the WoA gameplay for me is the cinematic, hand-crafted quality of main-game Mission Stories. After that, I then prefer the aesthetics of the game to the more generic gameplay in Freelancer or Contracts mode.

47’s SafeHouse is one of the things I’m most excited for in Freelancer :wink:

I’m loving the elevator :elevator: poster, the garden shed, and the church on or adjacent to 47s property. I can’t wait till Jan to play this mode!!

Also, maybe 47 does have a makeup mirror. He is a master of costumes isn’t he?

There’s a church? Is there video/screenshots?

Here is a post of it by @Mini

The church, which is in ruins, contains some sort of sword. You can see it show up in instinct a little to the left from where Mini’s screenshot was taken.

You get access to the sword via the garden shed, styling it using a specific redecoration option (labeled as Premium) which removes something from the backwall, revealing a hole that 47 can vault through to get to the church ruins and the Broadsword.

You are saying that now after the test is closed :sob:

So 47 is basically King Arthur?
