20 freakin years! Never gets old.
One of the strongest first tracks of any death metal album.
Careful man, if you get into one of these groups, there’s only a couple ways you can get out…
Deciding to try and start listening to Sonic soundtracks. Despite being a Sonic fan, there’s quite a number of Sonic games I have not played. During the 2000’s, Sega would release a lot of Sonic games exclusive to various systems. Lots of 2D games for the Game Boy Advance, DS, and 3DS, Rivals 1 and 2 for the PSP, etc, which have never been ported since release. One of the most inaccessible titles is Sonic Free Riders, the third (and so far final) game in the Riders series, which was an Xbox 360 Kinect exclusive. Possibly the worst Sonic game of all time as well, due to from what I’ve heard. The game has mandatory motion controls, no controller option, not even for the menu screens. And it sounds like the motion controls for the racing are just flat out broken and non-operative. '06 and Rise of Lyric may be very janky but they aren’t unplayable.
Anyway, soundtrack is pretty decent, it isn’t very big since it basically amounts to the theme song and a track for each course. Rocky Ridge is easily the stand out here, with a banjo, guitar, a man singing “do do do do do” and a woman’s voice that has been heavily synthed. I really like it, it’s definetly got an unusual vibe.
My favorite soundtrack from the Sonic series was from Sonic Colors. From the opening theme song, the credits, and individual levels I really loved them. My favorite ones I remember are from the Planet Wisp stages.
A more modern epic. This song builds beautifully, and expertly incorporates Chaplin’s famous speech from The Dictator into its final minutes.
Dude.
I have to agree. I thought the exact same when I first saw the music video. The AI generated content isn’t even related to Guns N’ Roses at all. It’s just random animated weirdness and not in a cool way. It’s dumb.
I used to be a big fan of Guns N’ Roses and I still can’t stop myself from following them once in a while for relevant news. But the reality is that they have been a nostalgia-band since the “original” line-up ended in 1995.
The General as a song is OK though, but far from great. I feel it is overproduced, or at least something is a bit off about it.
Colours definetly has a very solid soundtrack. Have you listened to the new remix soundtrack that was in Colours Ultimate? I think the original OST is better overall but there is definetly some solid stuff in the remixes too. Not to mention the Planet Wisp tracks from Sonic Generations are really cool too.
I love the rendition of Reach for the Stars from the 30th anniversary concert.
I didn’t realize they made a remix soundtrack for Sonic Colors Ultimate (didn’t buy it from I thought it was just a port from the original). I’ll need to listen to it.
It mostly is just a port, but remastered and with some fluff added in. 60fps, HD, a new lower difficulty (for an already easy game) and some new cosmetics. Not really essential if you already own the Wii version but the new remix soundtrack is a rather nice feature.
