Spring Roadmap 2023 Thread

Ikr! Id even be happy if when they implemented it it wouldnt be retroactive (as in we would just start from lvl100 from that point on). As long as there is an actual cool suit reward for level 200, not the shitty one we got for lvl100 ^^

That and the missing syndicate trophies, and the missing trophies (or empty shelve spots) upstairs

The new bloody Suit looks great !!!
I was hoping for more Freelancer changes/unlocks/customization but maybe these will be revealed before the patch.

P.S. May 11 is a bit late for what I hoped to be an instant hotfix when I reported a ticket ( nearly 4 months after Freelancer patch muted for no reason almost everything at Miami for Ps4 specifically ) but fingers crossed this won’t be delayed further to next update on August while a … subtitle text will be fixed :stuck_out_tongue:

Glad we are getting a third year of Hitman! Eager to see more of the stuff added to Freelancer.

Hear hear. And don’t forget the regular ninja suit.

Amen.

Ah, ok, makes sense… Though it limits the amount of actually “new” stuff in the roadmap for old-timers even more. (extending Contracts to ICA facility and HH is definitely cool though).

Here’s hoping they’ll throw in some nice surprises during the rest of the year.

Bloody excited for the black bruiser suit. Maybe this new challenge will fill up that empty space on the trophy shelf?

The challenge itself has been active in the game since January 26th and already has an allocated spot on the shelves for a trophy. On May 11th they’re simply adding an unlock onto that existing challenge.

By the way, I find it kinda funny that for the third year in a row they’re going through the 2016 locations for free. I guess they really don’t want to give away 2’s locations outside of Hawke’s Bay

Or it could be a licensing issue because of WB.

That was my first thought as well, but they were able to include the Hitman 2 content as a free upgrade to all Hitman 3 owners, if there were licensing issues surely that would’ve been a bigger problem than temporarily giving the locations away. Maybe they just didn’t want to make it so free players could do like 2/3 of the World of Assassination without buying anything.

H1’s levels are the most traditional and least involved with the overarching story. It is probably better to onboard with earlier levels than throw them in trying to find the Maelstrom or something.

Love that fresh Hitman roadmap feel. I’m most excited about this enigmatic escalation, please let it be Ambrose. Contracts mode on the yacht is also pretty cool.

I’m thinking hairpieces similar to the one worn by the Hospital Director will be randomly given to bald suspects in the next update.

Of course you are. Based on what the same imaginary leprechaun that told Ralph Wiggum to burn them all whispered in your ear during one of your episodes.

I would like to add the ability to specify the loadout in normal contract mode.
(Specify the starting point,Specify the weapons that can be brought to the stage, and Specify the initial equipment)

I would also like to create a contract for enhanced stage of the freelancer.
A starting point specified by the producer or a random starting point.
Specify by the producer three payout object and a prestige object.
and capacity system of equipment.
I would like to play contract with a like Freelancer.

There’s a slight chance that ETA will return after they potentially add new contracts for it next patch.
The blog post mentions an escalation that isn’t listed on the year’s roadmap and calls the roadmap itself tentative, so perhaps there are other small surprises that are being considered and might happen under right circumstances.

Wonder if this new ‘exploding pen’ is actually the long awaited return of the ‘explosive pen’, or a different unlock. Probably just a misunderstanding on IO’s part imo, I assume they meant to put ‘explosive pen’ instead of ‘exploding pen’, like how they recently made the Florida Fit with Gloves from the same ET unlockable for everyone.

It’s the same one from H2 for The Undying ET unlock.

I do dislike how they’re comparing it to the pen that was in Golden Eye. That was more of a time-bomb than an impact grenade. And this has a dual purpose. It’s mainly a lethal throw melee, then a loud explosion to let everyone within earshot know that you’ve killed someone… Or maybe just tossed it wherever. Hopefully the explosion will propel the fresh corpse into a place it can’t be found. Otherwise, IMO, the way it currently is - it’s just not that useful.

I’d much rather have a time bomb you could place or drop. (I’ve said this before) have it work like the distraction wrist watch from ‘The Bank’. Or leave it as a lethal throw melee, but have it retrievable to reuse as either a lethal melee or bomb. When you want it to explode - toss, place (and set it to explode), or drop it. Then wait 5 or 7 seconds for it to explode. More than enough time to run away.

I will admit, I’ve never really used it other than a lethal thrown melee. Maybe it could be more useful than I think.

I’ve only ever used the explosive pen once. Once I completed The Undying in H2, I loaded up Miami and threw it at the first NPC I found to see what it did. Since then I’ve never used because I too can’t really see a use for it either.

The explosive pen throw should strike the arm instead of the head and therefore be non-lethal. At least until it explodes. Add dialogue with the NPC questioning your sanity right before it goes off.
