I completely forgot about that, but that’s a good catch
That’s a great idea, it’s actually funny how Sully Bowden is such a pastiche of McGregor in quite a satirical way before they collabed with him
I dont even think it requires doing that much, the name The Disruptor could be used for any fighter and the outfits he wears dont include that much identifying material other than the Shamrock which is just an Irish thing. Sure, being a Disruptor and Irish is McGregor’s thing, but again Sully Bowden was also the same way and is firmly an expy. I still think reskinning and renaming would be the way to go, because you’re going to have to make a new character essentially but I think the name The Disruptor could stay
I think it was, but I also think all MMA/fighter people wear robes and coats before they take them off in order to fight. Again, you can still reskin it to be a different kind of robe and a different kind of shorts for both outfits, to really alienate the connection. Tho maybe you dont need to do that for legacy owners? Only for new owners? Because again maybe legacy owners will prefer the old look
Btw, since we’re discussing ways we can replace McGregor and Busey with other people: what celeb do you guys want to replace those two? And what would you want their new codenames to be?
For me, RTGame replacing The Wild Card and maybe his title could be: The Lad, The Influencer, The Manic or The Mischief
Then BigMooney replacing The Disruptor and his title could be: The Big Yin, The Hasbeen (if we keep it a parody of McGregor), The Brawn or The Wan Baw
i might be in the minority but i would personally find it very distasteful for them to put the items back up for sale as if nothing happened. though i think the suggestion above of donating (at least a share of) the profits to women’s shelters is great and would definitely restore some goodwill
Unfortunately, Busey himself isn’t the only issue with The Wildcard. It’s also just… really bad. He has a lot of bodyguards and never really isolates himself, so there’s no really good way to kill him quietly. In all honesty, it’s just not a very good mission IMO.
Now on the other hand, if you did a few tweaks to The Fixer and removed the instafails… you’d have something positively okay! A solid 5/10 perhaps!
(edit: realized I got a bit off topic here - apologies for that)
Fortunately, thanks to some handy-dandy devices that we’ve unlocked in Hitman 2 and 3 that we didn’t have in 2016 during the sole run of The Wild Card, such as the Sieker, throwable emetics, an oil canister, and miniature tasers, this is no longer an issue.
Ehhh, sort of. I guess it’s more accurate to say there are no particularly unique or interesting ways to kill him. Sure, you can just dart him, but… it’s a bit boring, if you ask me.
It doesn’t matter, while McGregor wasn’t found guilty in a criminal case he was found guilty in a civil one. While McGregor won’t be facing serious jail time the court ruled that he did the things that he did.
Sure fine, you think people are conflating what’s came out, but what’s true and what will always true is that in this civil case McGregor is guilty.
McGregor did sexually assault a woman and per chance possibly multiple women. If you want to downplay that aspect of his character and the severity of it all then for the sake of other forum members who have been a victim of the same crime or have friends or family who suffered from the same crime kindly leave this forum.
The content isn’t cut, just no one can access it who hasn’t already. I’m sure IOI will implement a way for new players to get those items unlocked from it, perhaps reskin them, and if not, they’ll be like those H2 exclusive items that nobody else can get now. Those of us who already have that content, for now at least, we keep it.
You won’t have access to it unless you have the license that gives you access to it. So trying to access it, the game won’t crash it will just deny you access.
Choices of words such as this example downplay the seriousness and criminality of McGregor’s actions, and minimize the immediate and lasting harm done to victims.
