I think people were delusional expecting something more, IO already shown what they want to do until the end of the hitman 3 lifecycle. If people are willing to pay $40 for glorified escalations than there’s no incentive for them to do more.
Clemens is a really good actor. I can’t imagine he truly believes that season of greed is “pack full of new and exciting content”.
Oh well…to me the only exciting thing for the next 4-6 weeks is the H3 elusive target. I’m definitely looking forward to that
Same, the weirdest part is that it’s already in the game, hell, we even got to use it in the Greed Escalation soo it was a very obvious choice for the season of Greed. But I guess not.
april roadmap looking , too bad its only one escalation
Actually, not exactly?
While yes, the “content” of this roadmap started on March 30th, at the moment it’s April 8th, so we only have juuuust over a month before the next roadmap, and that one might have a bit more stuff on it that isn’t brought over from a previous content dump.
yeah i predicted the same thing but its kinda disappointing to see it in reality
i suppose it makes sense that all the content was packed into March i guess, since thats when theres the most visibility from consumers until June (summer months)
i really don’t know why they always dangle the cool stuff in front of us but never make it available. the pumpkin suit, the raver suit with mask, the goldballer. its like they get some sort of sick satisfaction out of blueballing us over and over
I want to have high hopes for next season, I’m hoping they’ve got more free content coming soon, but that’s the hope I had for this season because of last roadmap, and all we got was a new elusive target and what is likely a lackluster escalation.
I really hope there’s going to be a large amount of content next season, but I highly doubt it.
At this point I won’t be surprised if The Collector doesn’t have a reward unlock. And we know that the next ET after this didn’t have it either in Hitman 2. So possibly 2 ETs back to back with no rewards.
That’s the first rule with roadmaps, never expect something more. And when there is something more, be happy. I’m not expecting any new maps at all or brand new items, and for bonus missions, this stuff takes time.
Maybe that’s the change to the formula they meant for new ETs. No more unlocks lol
Oh sh*t!
Now this is surprising (and unfortunate)!!
I’ve been telling everyone demanding the Goldballer for the past week that “don’t worry, we’ll definitely see it as a free reward in the next roadmap” – because wouldn’t you agree it makes the most sense to give it away now? – and yet… AND YET… It’s not there!
Huge missed opportunity, IO.
Now I owe my loanshark my kneecaps.
What are we really complaining about here? If you look at the last few roadmaps, what have they consistently delivered?
February: 2 pre-paid Deluxe Escalations, 2 featured contract sets, one pre-released elusive target, and two free escalations.
March: One seasonal event (coinciding with Easter), one pre-paid Deluxe escalation, 2 featured contract sets, a pre-released elusive target, and a free escalation.
April: One pre-paid Sin escalation, 2 featured contract sets, one pre-released elusive target, one new elusive target, a free escalation, and the continuation of the previous month’s seasonal event.
I don’t know, it doesn’t really feel like there’s dramatically less content there. We have no idea about any unlockable items resulting from anything in April. The only reason that the deluxe escalations were released when they were (with the unlockable items highlighted) was because there paid for already (likely before the game even got released for most players).
We are still getting two featured contract sets. You may not particularly like who is creating them, but are they really any different than that creators of the previous sets we’ve gotten for Hitman 3? We’re still getting a free escalation, which is pretty consistent with what came out in the last few months. We’re finally getting an elusive target for a Hitman 3 map (and a re-release - again consistent).
So what are we really complaining about? I think we see forum posts that are guess-work, hacks of game files, supposed leaks, and other content that we take as gospel and then get disappointed when IOI doesn’t put it in the game right away (or even ever). We’re working ourselves into a frenzy about things that we think are going to be available without any official confirmation.
We use statements like “IOI NEEDS to include…” or “IOI HAS TO do…” and then get upset when our pet idea isn’t implemented. We need to stop doing that to ourselves because it’s only causing mass disappointment. We knew full well before the roadmap came out that the next DLC piece wouldn’t be until 4 to 6 weeks away and anything else is just extra Free content. So what is so surprising about the fact that the free content they’re releasing isn’t a full blown bonus map with toggle-able weather and unlocks of every gun ever mentioned throughout the entire series?
Bit underwhelming but look on the bright side… imagine how good May’s Roadmap is going to be
Damn what a big pile of nothing. Not even a game update in April
Not a fan at all of the " Seasons of Sin can last 4 to 6 weeks" if this is all they can show for themselves.
Hell, I’m not sure why they even call the roadmaps “Seasons of Sin” if literally the only thing we get with that theme is that one escalation ?
Too busy counting the money and ordering helicopters.
Well that’s not much. I would expect a bit more content for roadmaps that is for longer than a month. I mean, having 2 ET’s is great, but there is not that much. 1 escalation, 2 batch of FC from youtubers (who don’t even play that much of a Hitman) and update is delayed way too in May? It better be worth the wait…
This is definitely the most confusing bit. It really doesn’t feel like the theme of the roadmap is being honored in the Free Content pool, rather than the Paid Content pool (even then, many people already got their Greed on March 30th).
All the showcasing of the Goldballer in the Greed Escalation felt like a tease for an upcoming unlock, but I guess not!
If people want to compare roadmaps I know the perfect place to do research
I don’t expect a bonus map, but after they literally announced “Seasons” that they claimed to be “themed”, and that said seasons would be composed of both paid and free content, i find it rather odd and disappointing that this isnt the case at all, and the only piece of content that fits the theme is the one paid escalation ?
