I can tell you that the feeling passes. I was devastated by the losses of River Phoenix, John Candy, Jon-Erik Hexum, John Belushi, and the list goes on. I’m far past the point in my life where people that I admired, listened to, or watched have started passing on and I wish I could say that it was still surprising.
Aww, man, this guy was great, whether as a villain role or a mentor role. Dunno if he was ever anything else, I’ve only seen him in those kinds of roles, but he dominated them. It was his eyes, he’s got the eyes of a sadistic criminal and/or a wise father-confessor.
Sorry, had to link to my local news. Nowhere in english, yet:

Damn, Norman Jewison died.
In the Heat of the Night left a lasting impression on me when I first saw it as a teenager. Sidney Poitier and (the criminally underrated) Rod Steiger at their best.
Blame it on the rain.
Ahem… An Actress Famous for her role in the hit show Entourage was found dead from an apparent drug overdose.
Damn! Dude did not get the cinematic legacy he deserved, he was the Samuel L Jackson of the decade before Samuel L Jackson. RIP, Mr. Weathers, your statement is now a final truth:
“There is no tomorrow!”
He came in toward the end of the era of what you could call “classic” country, and shortly before it became dominated by pop singers who thought they were country because they wore cowboy hats and boots (I’m looking at you, Tim McGraw), but Toby Keith did have some really good songs in the style of real country. Some of them leaned a bit too heavily into… reactionary patriotism, but even then, the songs themselves were good. RIP to one of the more modern greats.
And just a couple of months before the release of Eiyuden Chronicle.
I wonder if this has any noticable effect among Russians.
