MENDOZA, Argentina (Mission #5) - Location Discussion

Just decided to do this opportunity except I had knocked out all the bodyguards on the map. For some reason I didn’t get SA but whatever.

EDIT: New version with SA

You mean the hatches on the sides of the Somelier room? I’m pretty sure I dumped them in there, and they didn’t die. (Unless they did, and I totally missed it and overlooked the post-mission screen.)
Pretty sure I didn’t see a “non-target killed” message pop up.

edit: Wait! I’m sure they didn’t die, because when I saw the “Dump” prompt, it didn’t show “Eliminate” alongside it. I dumped them into the Left-hand-side hatch, btw.

lol just learned that if you use the default starting location and kill the lady too quickly it will count as a non-target kill

SASO 1:02s w/ RFID Explosive

He can lift the coin and self detonate, but its less reliable. Explosion drops chandalier for accident kill.

Nice one, how reliably does vidal walk there alone?

SA/SO speedrun from Default Starting Location in 1:42, No KOs

Yeah you are correct. I dumped all the bodies in those rooms into the vents to clear the room to ko and lethal poison Vidal with the fumigation…

…only to realize it poisons the vents first before you send the gas into the main room and ended up killing everyone in the vents anyways, oops!

Oh damn, I didn’t know there was a fumigation opportunity in this level!

Was messing around in Mendoza (mainly trying to break things) and figured out that you can skip the unskipable tango cutscene if you place a proximity duck before “exiting”. When it blows up, the cutscene dies and the mission ends. No one is harmed.

And in another run I managed to end the mission with Diana dead.

Guys, is this a bug or not? Why is bodyguard disguise prohibited in the parking lot?

Depends on guard’s access level.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it’s a bug. I lured a guard from that area where he was happily talking to a Gaucho.

But then I took that very guards disguise and somehow was trespassing.

What about this particular disguise? As you can see, “bodyguard” disguise is prohibited in this part of the parking lot.

In this zone, there are initially three NPCs in this disguise. But if you put it on, then this zone automatically becomes hostile.

Does anyone know what the letter that apparently arrived for Yates relates to in this mission? When you first enter the party dance floor a member of staff offers you wine and if you drink it she tells 47 that a letter arrived for Yates which he is upset about.

I assumed it was something to do with the Matricide kill challenge but I’m not sure.

The letter is the one sent by the Constant regarding allowing Diana to be present. Yates is furious and doesnt understand why the Constant would allow her to be treated like an ally after her hand in the 1% killings and more recent attacks on the Partners.

It is unrelated to the Matricide kill challenge.

Thanks Crazerot. Serves me right for not listening to the dialogue properly ha.

Don’t worry about it.

Honestly, I thought there might be some gameplay implications as well, but it’s used solely for narrative/worldbuilding. Not a bad thing of course. I think you can even find the smashed flowerpot that’s mentioned on the property.
