Level Ideas for Future Games

I had an idea today. Not quite as good as when I said “do a formula one race,” but I am curious what people think…

A funeral level. 47 would be targeting a person who is attendant a funeral. The level would use a modified NPC loop where the target has a progression that only happens once before entering a smaller loop and/or leaving the level.

The funeral home has the wake with a service at the end. The target will attend and there will be a couple opportunities here. To keep this part from getting boring 47 should arrive in mission towards the end. Perhaps the target arrives a bit after 47 to allow you to set something up. Then the NPCs all listen to the priest and head to the burial plot. This could be a walk over if funeral home is on the cemetery grounds or (possibly) a drive over to the other side of the map. Either way there needs to be a good sniping spot to hit the target during the procession. Once at the burial site again there is a small amount of time for the prayers and then the NPCs move again to a bar or restaurant (by car or walk) where they will all sit and eat/drink and remember whoever the funeral was for. Once the NPCs finally get here they will go into their level loops and it becomes a hit at a restaurant type level. This loop is either eternal or eventually the target leaves the map. Ideally the most opportunity is built into the last stop, but the funeral home and burial plot have enough time and stuff to make for a fun level.

Perhaps if the first two aren’t deep enough to not get repetitive there is a way to start the level forward in time with the target arriving at the restaurant? I’m not sure about that last part. Oh and just because I want people to like it… it’s snowing out :joy:

I like it  and if it’s in an urban location, we could have a few city blocks to play with (to make it useful for Contracts and elusive targets).
Perhaps if the deceased is a VIP, part of the streets are locked down for the hearse to arrive, meaning the level of accessibility of the map dynamically shifts with time?

Mission name: Swimming with Sharks

Destination: The Pacific (International Waters)
Location: Luxury Cruiser

Description:
A privately owned luxury cruise ship. Available only to the richest elite of the world, this ship has luxurious apartment hotel rooms, an outdoor pool area as well as an indoor water palace, a dedicated mall area and luxury restaurants with cuisine to die for, and one of the world’s largest high stakes casinos where truly everything goes. In the lower decks of this cruiser something much more sinister is also taking place: a large underground gambling event sponsored by the head of the Yakuza in which people with crippling debt are pitted against each other in a large gambling contest where contestants can either win their freedom or be sold into forced labor. Rich elite can watch these events and bet on them like a sports game from the comfort of a luxury restaurant and betting area. Attending this cruise is a billion dollar conglomerate company owner Ray Logan and his closest family. Responsible for a number of scandals, coverups and even murders, you have been tasked with not only taking care of Ray but also his next in line.

Places of note:

  • Ship control room
  • Open area on top of the ship with a pool and railings on the sides.
  • Luxury apartments with a recreational area and a bar.
  • Mall area with clothing stores, souvenirs, antiques, jewelry and 5 star restaurants.
  • Indoor water palace (finally another map where we can see 47 in his glorious Haven Island bathing gear).
  • Staff area.
  • Large high stakes Casino area.
  • Underground illegal gambling event on the lower deck.
  • Engine room.

Notable disguises:

  • Ship Captain
  • Ship Crew
  • Restaurant personnel
  • Ship Staff
  • Bathing shorts
  • Water Palace mascot costume “Sweet Tooth the Shark”
  • Yakuza member
  • Casino Dealer
  • Engine crew
  • Lowlife

Targets:

  • Head of Yakuza: McJapanesename Hiro
Using his empire of crime to do his bidding he rarely comes out of hiding, but as a man of sadistic tastes when it comes to entertainment his funding of this cruise ship has let him find a particular new favorite sport: betting on the lives of lowlifes in crippling debt. You’ll find him in the lower decks of the ship either in the Casino, or in the event area.
  • Conglomerate billionaire: Ray Logan
Whether it’s good business sense or just dementia, Ray has grown highly paranoid with age. Cautious and with a ruthless temper, you’ll most likely find Ray keeping to himself and avoiding his children whom he knows wants his attention. Expect him to be fiercely guarded and very suspicious.
  • The golden child: Kenny Logan
Kenny likes the finer things in life and considers himself a bit of a playboy. He is suspected to have been the part of a recent DUI leading to the death of his former girlfriend. Trying to take his mind off the events you’ll likely find him in the bar or casino.
  • The odd one: Caesar Logan
Caesar enjoys his billionaire lifestyle but is far more reserved and with particular tastes. You’ll likely find him exploring the water palace or the lounge area.
  • The mean kid: Dushanka Logan (Aka “Shank”)
Shank is the oldest daughter of the family and fiercely dedicated to be next in line for succession to the point where she has attempted to contract the ICA on parts of her family in the past. You can find her enjoying the mall, or one of the many restaurants.

Mission stories:

  • Next in Line:
Set up a meeting with Shank and take her up on her contract to eliminate her competition. When you’re done, meet with her for a celebratory drink in her hotel room.
  • Welcome to the Fandom:
Disguise yourself in the Mascot Costume and enjoy a romantic blind date with Ceasar. (Bonus: Also works with the Blue Flamingo outfit). The date will conclude with you both watching the sunset together alone and in private (If you don’t kill him, he’ll tell you to call him later).
  • Let it Slide:
One of the Water Palace most famous slides that offers its rider a unique view through a see-through section running outside of the ship and back is currently undergoing a 2 week maintenance and has during this time been closed off to all swimmers. As someone who considers themself a connoisseur of going on wild rides, this does not sit well with Ceasar.
  • Betting man:
Steal the heirloom Pistol from Logan’s drawer and leave it on Kenny’s bedroom cupboard. Find and return Kenny Logan’s lost cellphone to the reception staff, which causes him to have a distressing conversation with his ex girlfriend’s parents after which he will go to the Casino. Disguise yourself as a dealer and deal Kenny a good or bad hand when he goes all-in. If you deal him a bad hand he will eventually return to his room and shoot himself. If you give him a good hand he’ll go on a drug fueled party frenzy where you can either poison his cocaine or cause a fatal accident.
  • Rags to riches:
Infiltrate the illegal gambling event in the lower decks as a lowlife debtor, win the event and be personally congratulated by the Yakuza boss.
  • Deja Vu:
Sabotage the Yakuza boss personal lifeboat by shooting holes into its underside. Cause an evacuation event on the ship by making it sink.
  • Daddy issues:
Present the heirloom pistol to Shank and clear Ray’s schedule.

Challenges:

  • Sleeping with the fishes:
Push a target overboard while wearing the Shark Mascot costume.
  • Ultimate Survivor:
Partake and win the underground gambling event as a lowlife gambler.
  • Card Shark:
Win a round of high stakes poker game while wearing the Shark Mascot costume.
  • King of the World: [Redacted]
Push Kenny over the railing after making him go on a drug fueled frenzy and standing at the front of the ship re-enacting the famous scene from Titanic.
  • Making a splash:
Drop the loose section of the waterlide outside of the ship with a crowbar and make Ceasar go on the slide.
  • Titanic:
    Sink the ship
  • Catastrophic failure:
Manually sabotage the ship engine or push the Yakuza boss into the ship’s machinery. (Causes a panic event with changes to NPC patterns but not a sinking evacuation event)
  • Inheritance:
Kill all targets with the heirloom pistol. [Reward: Antique Revolver Pistol]
  • White Whale:
Kill Ray Logan with an antique harpoon gun obtained in the Antiques Shop.

Personal notes:
My main influences for this idea is the anime Kaiji Ultimate Survivor in which an indebted man is forced to play a high stakes game with his life in an underground event held on a cruise boat owned by a billionaire Mafia boss (You might know this anime as the main inspiration for the more well known Netflix series: Squid Games). I also wanted a level with a water park or similar and a luxury cruiser seemed like the perfect place for such a thing, and it would justify it not being a huge main part of the map. When thinking about what other targets would be fun on a luxury cruiser I thought “What if we had to kill the family in Succession?”. I think targets inspired by the Roy family would make for some very interesting situations. I also love goofy outfits in Hitman so of course I would definitely love to have a big goofy Shark outfit while throwing people overboard, I would also hope you could throw in some unique angry rival dialogue for the guy in the Mascot costume if you talk to him while wearing either the Flamingo or the Pirate outfit.

We found him lads! We finally found Mr Yakuza of the Yakuza Family

Also, shouldn’t it be Japanesename-San Hiro?

I am not great at coming up with fake names lel, though I suppose I did think some of my names for the Succession family were pretty witty

That is exceptionally lazy, though. Just look up some obscure celebrity and steal their surname. Or use fantasynamegenerators.com.

Also, don’t completely rip off Succession. At least change the names so it’s still in the Hitman universe.

But I did?
Ray Logan = Logan Roy
Kenny Logan = Kendall Roy
Ceasar Logan = Roman Roy
Duschanka (Shank) Logan = Shiobhan (Shiv) Roy

Also irregardless I’m imagining if IOI likes my idea they’ll only use it as inspiration not take my entire post word for word. They have professional writers and will come up with better names than Hiro McJapanesename, which would mean I wouldn’t have to waste my time on that :v

Personally i usually google what there emotions or characteristics in the nationality they come from

Eg you could have a very angry target called “The Bear” then you’d search up what Bear is in lets say Japanese, then that’s his last name, his first name could be literally any common Japanese first name (just search on google)

I could sure, but why?
I’m offering an idea for a scenario, I don’t really care about the names they use for the targets since that’s not the point. IOI are just going to come up with a better name and backstory anyway since they have writers that are experienced at doing such.

I think a Buckingham Palace level would be both challenging and fun. I have made target for this level. The target is called noah van-leon. He’s a dutch assassin for a unknown company. You also have to kill him in a time limit before he kills the king of England.

I think an airport would be ideal. Lots of trespassing areas, entry/exit points, police presence, civilians, outfits, security checks - it has everything a good hitman level could potentially have.

Achin, Khandanyang, 1PM

Target: The Tyrantess

Briefing:

Welcome to Khandanyang. You will be travelling to Royal Palace in the capital city of Achin.

Your target is Khandanyang’s dictator Mei Po, Tren Po’s sister. She has succeeded and Supreme Leader after her father and brother’s sudden deaths and has proven herself to be belligerent and hostile even by her family’s standards, and is allegedly about to declare war on the United States. Our client believes that they can take advantage of the power struggle if Po is killed and install a benevolent puppet in their place.

The palace will be heavily guarded and the consequences of being caught will be dire, so be careful. I will leave you to prepare. Good luck, 47.

Mission Stories:

Legitimate Secrets: MI6 agent Steven Graves (Penelope’s elder brother) has defected to Khandanyang after his connections to Lucas Grey were exposed, promising to deliver Po classified documents. He is staying in a heavily surveilled and well-guarded guesthouse and is keeping the documents in a safe under the code 123456. If 47 steals the documents and Graves’ disguise, he can approach Po’s secretary, who will guide 47 to a private office. The guards will let 47 in after a search and Po will arrive shortly. She will order 47 to pass her the documents. While she reads them, 47 can take an ornamental dagger out of its case and slit her throat with it.

If she reads them in full, Po will get up, excuse herself and leave the room. She’ll tell her guards that the documents, allegedly describing an altercation in Baghdad, are actually just the plot synopsis of a subpar action film she recently watched and are therefore worthless. She will order them to kill Graves. Guards will barge in and shoot at 47 and his disguise will be rendered hostile to all areas.

Terror Training: Khandanyang had recently hijacked and stolen a Chinese airplane. It is in pretty good shape aside from a small hole in the side, and is in a previously disused military base. Po intends to use the plane as part of training for a mission to hijack and crash a South Korean airplane. Unfortunately for her, the drill sergeant had fallen ill with a fever and is recuperating at the military barracks.

Dressed as the drill sergeant, 47 can order a roll call for the Heavenly Guard soldiers and make them perform exercises until Po arrives. 47 can ask Po to enter the plane to speak with her privately about the mission and kick her out of the hole in the plane. Alternatively, 47 can ask Po to meet him in the plane, not show up and either order the soldiers to shoot up the plane with Po inside it or detonate explosives rigged to the plane, killing her.

Exclusive with Evil: Po has set up an exclusive interview with Pamela Kingsley to dispel nasty rumours and talk about her reforms.

She set up a chair on the edge of a cliff near a waterfall due to the beautiful view. However, Kingsley’s cameras were broken due to the rough inspecting of airport officials, so she has gone inside the palace to plead for a new camera. Stealing a camera from a studio, 47 can pass it to her start the interview.

47 can rig an explosive in a passageway underneath Po’s spot. During the interview, he can detonate the bomb, causing the ground beneath Po to collapse and her to plummet to her death.

Raise a Glass: The palace kitchen staff are preparing lunch for Po, but can’t find the wine bottle (Viñedo Yates Cabernet Sauvignon) she wants paired with her meal. The bottle has secretly been accidentally broken by a cook who cleaned up the mess and is fretting outside the kitchen. There are two more bottles: one brought along by GNN and resting in their news van and one in Po’s bedroom. The wine bottle will have to be placed in the kitchen.

47 can ring the dinner bell and alert Po that her lunch is ready without getting the wine bottle, though she will be upset and say she will discipline the chef afterwards before tucking into her meal.

Po has a food taster who will taste every dish that is handed to her, and she will refuse to eat anything without it being tasted for her. 47 must impersonate the food taster and pretend to sample the food before Po eats it herself. She will, however, drink the wine without demanding it be tested.

If Po’s food taster is poisoned (lethal, sedative or emetic), Po will go to the kitchen, accuse the head chef of attempting to kill her and have her guard execute him.

Other Assassination Challenges: Crushed with Jin Po’s statue, drowned in fountain, smothered in bed

Exits: Fighter jet, private jet, airplane, limo, helicopter, yacht, fishing trawler

Disguises: Guard, Heavenly Guard solder, palace staff member, head chef, cook, food taster, drill sergeant, cameraman, Steven Graves

Notes:

  • Po adopted the infant daughter of a pair of dissidents she had executed and raised her as her own. The girl is absent from the mission due to studying in Switzerland.

Considering the prevalence of past games’ events leading to several of the situations found in WoA, there’s at least a not-unreasonable chance that the next Hitman game will actually address Khandanyang and the Po regime.

Mission Name: Carnival Death
Destination: Basel, Switzerland
Location: Carnival of Basel

(Diana) Briefing: Good evening 47, you heading to Switzerland, in Basel. According to our informants in the area, a group of assassins known as “The Rogues” are plotting an assassination on the Swiss President, Luca Vespucci, and plans to replace the president with a corrupt one that has ties to the drug trade in Europe. The Carnival is full house, 47, so use the crowd to blend in and stay out of sight. Good Luck 47. You’ll need it.
Targets:
Assassin Leader: Edith Kilroy
Scottish at birth, Edith Swanson Kilroy is a notorious assassin, who started her career when she killed her parents muggers at 18. She was recruited into the ranks of numerous drug and assassination agencies, until she betrayed most of them and started her own gang. She has communications to the other assassins, 47, so make sure to sever those so she can’t begin the assassination on the president.
Corrupt Politician: Jacque De Vaux
Born in Belgium but raised in Bordeaux, Jacque de Vaux always aspired to be a politician, his father told him the only way to rise up was by dirty business, so at 18, he became a well known-ecstasy dealer in the streets of Bordeaux, until he decided to become a politician.
Sniper Scout: Reginald Kulinsky II
Raised by his late father Raymond, Reginald Kulinsky was a sharp shooter, going hunting with his father in the American Wilderness. One day, his father was killed in New Orleans, and he vowed to track down and kill his fathers murderer. At 18 he began running numerous rackets in New Orleans, until one day he got in trouble with a notorious crime family and fled to Europe, where he met Edith Kilroy.

Mission Stories:

-Corner Pocket: It appears that De Vaux considers himself an expert Snooker player, apparently, he plans to meet with a local gang leader at the local pub to play Snooker. The gang leader is known for his violent tendencies, and hates cheaters. Perhaps you can tilt the odds onto De Vaux’s favor, 47? Outcome: 47 Tampers with the 8 Ball so it moves into the corner pocket on the gang leaders turn, The gang leader will accuse De Vaux of cheating, resulting in the gang leader shooting De Vaux dead in a fit of rage.
Close, No Cigar: It appears that Kulinsky regularly visits the local Cigar Shop here in town, 47. He always buys a special kind of Cigar, known as “The Devil’s Butt.” It apparently contains very small doses of Castor substrate, a notoriously deadly type of plant. Perhaps you can add more of this Substrate in 47. Outcome: 47 adds a deadly amount of Castor Substrate to the Cigar, Kulinsky faints and dies as soon as he lights the Cigar.
Backstabbed: It appears that there is a booth in the center of the town where a mascot named “Old Man Kobold” sits and takes photos with the party attendees. Coincidentally, Kilroy is a photographer, and always takes photos of the destinations she visits. No Doubt she will head over to this booth, 47. Perhaps you can become “Old Man Kobold”? Outcome: 47 Dresses as the mascot, and while taking the photo, can kill Kilroy as he wishes.
Look out Below: It appears that a loose statue sits above the stage at the event, people are advised not to got onto the stage, to prevent any deaths or injuries from the statue. However, De Vaux is itching to hold a speech, perhaps you can allow this speech to happen, 47. Outcome: 47 Tampers with the statue causing it to lean over the stage, disguised as the carnival host, 47 allows De Vaux to do his speech, however, as De Vaux is talking, the statue’s foundation collapses and falls onto De Vaux, crushing him.

Idea for DLC. Place of action Carpathians (although it is completely irrelevant)
47 is lying unconscious on a train. To regain consciousness he needs to go deep into his subconscious and find a way out into the real world.

1st mission. Primitive society (Far cry Primal style)
Targets: Cannibal Chief, Shaman.
Location description: Three-level cave, primitive settlement around the cave, two-level temple of Shaman. Winter, it’s snowing. noon
Level -1. Dungeon and Kitchen. In the dungeon, there are prisoners in cages. 2 cages are suspended by a rope above the ceiling. One of them has a skeleton in it, the other has a dead npc. The entrance is guarded by guards. There is dampness and mold everywhere. There are spiders crawling on the walls. The sound of falling drops can be heard. The kitchen is divided into two sections. A fire where the chief’s personal cook cooks human meat. And a refrigerated room where the cut-up bodies of people hang. There is a secret passage: a staircase leading to the chieftain’s chambers (level 1). The kitchen is lit by torches.
Level 0: Throne Room. A circular room, with a throne of swords and skulls and a bonfire in the center. Around the fire are animal skins (seating). Behind the throne is a staircase of skulls and bones leading to the chief’s quarters.
Around the throne room: a servant’s room, a guard room, a weapons storehouse, a food storehouse.
Outside the cave is a primitive settlement with campfires, huts, and various NPCs. Some are sewing animal skins, some are cooking food, some are sleeping, two drunks are punching each other in the face.
The Shaman’s temple stands alone. It’s enclosed by a stone fence. It is guarded by armed priests. Inside: an idol of the deity Cthulhu, a sacrificial altar on which lies a bound victim in a blue robe and a mask on his face. Also in the temple is a separate room where the shaman tries to create a potion, periodically he comes to the victim and leaves to vomit. Also inside the temple are a few immobile priests, some are standing, some are squatting and are unconscious under the influence of the shaman’s potion. There is also an abyss, above the abyss hangs a ladder leading to level 0 and a secret passage to the dungeon.
Level 1.
The chieftain’s chambers consist of: living room The chieftain sits on the skin of a slain animal, concubines feed him grapes. The chief is drinking beer. A mammoth head hangs above him.

Leader.
Drinks cold beer from a goblet and takes a piss in the toilet. Concubines feed him grapes. After the fourth cup drunk, wants to eat meat. He calls the cook by pulling a string to which a bell is tied. The cook arrives, the angry chief yells at him and demands meat. The cook gives him a bone of meat, the chief takes a bite and slaps the cook. Where are the spices? The chief asks.
Oh yes, my lord, I have prepared something special for you.
Here’s the randoms:

  1. The cook adds a bitter slimy toad - the chief goes to vomit, then kills the cook.
  2. Sour vinegar essence chief dies, cook escapes.
  3. Honey valerian root: chief faints (sedative effect) cook escapes.
  4. Ground salted fern: The chief laughs, burps and gives the cook an ancient knife as a token of gratitude. Afterward, he goes to take a bath.
If you stun the cook and change into his disguise, you can spice the bone and meat to your liking, all 4 spices are stored in the cook’s kitchen. If you poison or kill a chieftain in the chef’s disguise, that disguise becomes illegal on the entire location.

Also the chief can be eliminated by throwing a stingray fish into a hot spring. blowing up the bottom.

Assembly. If you blow on the mammoth tusk in the throne room, the shaman with two guards and the chief with two guards will go to the throne room. A plan to attack a neighboring settlement will be discussed. The chief will sit on the throne and the shaman and his guards on skins around the fire. After the discussion, the chief and the shaman will go into seclusion and the shaman will slit the chief’s throat and throw him into the abyss.
Possibilities: blow up the chief’s throne (explosive accident) under the propane throne. Drop the chandelier while the chief is descending the stairs. Drop a mammoth skull on the shaman and the chief at the same time, during their private conversation.

Shaman.
The Shaman brews potions in his ancient laboratory. Sneezes periodically. Then goes to the altar with a bound victim, curses that it smells like dead fish, and goes to vomit. Then he goes to prepare a potion that can destroy the smell of dead fish. If you throw a black brick (which can be taken in several places on the location), it will go black smoke and the leader will go to the temple to look at the ceremony of sacrifice to the god Cthulhu. If he smells fish, he will kill the shaman.

Possibilities. Revive the victim, by gunshot or otherwise. The victim will stand up, thank 47go undress and run away. The victim will also throw away a sacrificial knife and a dead fish. You can change into a victim, throw away the fish and then during the secret sacrifice kill first the chief and then the shaman (as in the mission Sgail). If they are not killed, after the ceremony there will be a private conversation, during which the chief will push the shaman into the abyss.
Test - the shaman’s apprentice. Come to the shaman, talk to him, he asks you to show your abilities. Carry out the ritual and then choose what way to kill the shaman burn fire (causing fire from under the ground), electricity lightning falls into the shaman, heavenly punishment - the head of a mammoth falls from the sky and kills the shaman. If you do not kill the shaman, you can push him off a cliff during a conversation.
