A comic about the Escobar Hippos.
A Formula 1 Grand Prix is being organized for the very first time in…
Miami!!
As to how they got the idea, I have no doubt.
The track is pretty good too! Usually the so called “car park” circuits leave a lot to be desired but this one is less of a car park circuit and more of a semi street circuit on park roads like Montreal or Melbourne. Zero elevation change, but it’s got a really challenging middle sector. Im hopeful for a great race today (I’m a huge f1 fan). They also have a higher % of hospitality areas than most races and some of them are themed (one is PAINFULLY a fake marina with boats in it kinda like Monaco. The various areas all with their own tickets/invitations needed would make for a pretty good level
I was watching it live today and it was surreal
Even Norris’ crash looked familiar
I always wanted to tell this story, but didn’t see an appropriate thread until now…
4 years ago, December 2017, I was in Hokkaido training with the Japanese Army (as a guest), and one of my eyes got very bloodshot… when I was checked out I had a very high fever, and ultimately they took me to a hospital in Hokkaido… but despite numerous tests, I didn’t have a specific illness and after a day or so the symptoms all went away…
The irony was thick to me though that I was at a Hokkaido hospital with a mysterious virus .
Dude, at that point, I’d think God, or Karma, or Fate, or Something, was fucking with you.
The fake marina was a little much for my tastes but the race was fun. That Lando Pierre crash at least gave the Ferrari a second chance to pass and so gave us some interesting laps at the end.
Sadly I did not see 47 anywhere on tv
Someone named Hong Lee from the finance department of the company I’m working at will visit our workplace tomorrow. I wonder if he’ll have a big bodyguard with him.
Sssshhh, I’ve heard the last guy who talked to much about him is still locked up in the basement
“… Let the sounds and lights of your surroundings caress your minds and spirits on this journey.”
I am surprised you didn’t call attention to the fact that this is around the eight oligarch to die under somewhat suspicious circumstances this year alone.
Taylor Swift’s security guard that dressed up as a graduate to blend in feels pretty Hitman-ish. in fact, the way he’s next to her reminds me of how elusive targets’ bodyguards are. all he needs is the enforcer dot, heh
Says something that he looks more authentic than Taylor.
don’t know about authentic, but he looks very focused. as any bodyguard or bald assassin should be.
It’s the last day of the Swiss Economic Forum. With extensive coverage in the news. Today (the real) @Kevin_Rudd was a keynote speaker. When they talked about him in the radio I always expected some Hitman related stuff. Was a bit disappointed he didn’t deliver.
Can you imagine the confusion on his face if someone asked him about the state of the Chongqing Noodle Massacre?
Some journalist-friends of mine are there. I tell them to ask him about his thoughts on year 2 content so far.
One of Bo Burnham’s new songs is just called “The Chicken”.
It’s a great song, but man, since the Bo Burnham subreddit is going crazy about it, every time the title is mentioned my brain does a double-take.
“The Chicken is the best”. “…song”
