Chongqing needs to be permanently retired. Dartmoor isn’t that much better, but at least it wasn’t anxiety-inducing in my first playthroughs.

I might’ve missed something (and I certainly have, I don’t have 300 hours in the game) but I don’t think there were many complex opportunities in Berlin (apart from the shockingly good DJ’s performance and maybe the meeting with the club boss), usually it was like: kick a bag of bricks - done! poison this guy’s food - done! drop this huge suspended object on agent’s head - done. But as it is with H3, I’m not saying the level is bad - it just doesn’t stand up to the complexity of other maps (like the incredible murder mystery straight from the Knives Out or the unforgettable Providence meeting and tango with Diana).

Well, time to finish this.

I think that’s true, but I also think the key of Berlin is that it is meant to play differently from other maps. The targets aren’t that complex and are often easy, but it is so you can kill them quickly since you have to kill 5 to complete the level. I think Berlin is far more about encouraging speedy playthroughs, different routes, self imposed challenges on yourself, than it is about stalking a complex target and doing in-depth mission stories. Not to invalidate what you say but I do think Berlin’s strength is that it tries to be something very different.

It has it’s better bits and it looks absolutely stunning, but unfortunately I think it’s one of the weakest in the trilogy to actually play. Mind you the rooftop areas are quite good. The Lee Hong Derivation made me appreciate those more
