Oh absolutely. May 2019 is perhaps one of the best IOI monthly streams as it gives actual insight, interviews the lead designer for New York, and is fairly informative.
We even found out that they too think Sapienza wasn’t as well designed as it could’ve been (the Virus forces people to go down to the catacombs and deal with it, which makes that part of the level linear), something which they wanted to avoid with New York; hence the two ways of getting the data. Not to mention the answer to the lack of female guards being discussed (short answer; they admitted that male guards are there for balance reasons, not because they’re sexist).
We need someone on the forum by the hour that day to ensure the moment the briefing video is published, someone is typing the breakdown in a thread on here
I’ll be working whenever they livestream it, but I hope it is something fruitful. We know from my Season of the Splitter post that there will be at least the remaining two unnamed challenges being added sometime this year.
Probably more chance of Samir finally replying to all the unanswered questions he was tagged in inside the “Season of The Undying” roadmap thread from almost a year ago than that happening tbh.
Oh, I unfortunately only expect that matter to be given zero attention (or at best, an oblique deflection)
Ideally, a clarification and pulling the pack out entirely would probably be for the best, but…
the odds of that happening are astronomically slim.
I See A figure in the corner,
I See A shadow on the wall.
I See A new world order
Balanced on the brink,
In a blink it’ll fall to the
I See A close of an empire,
I See A new architect.
I See A fuse to be set fire,
Forged in the wire
Pulled tight around your neck
By the ICA.
Personally, I think it’s going to be a general timeline of Year 5.
Like the 25th anniversary were hinted to be something. I expect it to be said. Maybe even teased with material.
And everything else.
To manage expectations, while starting hyping what will come.
In short: not make the community go blind in the year. Because it would mostly results in disappointment.
Year 3 did so with its year timeline, and it was a smooth ride for what was, in the end, a pretty mellow year. Because it was well managed.
They could almost just use that same image, since all signs point to the same ETs running in the same order yet again (besides The Fixer getting slotted in to disrupt the order slightly).
Very few alterations would be needed.
Since we know the PSVR2 mode is coming in March and adds dual-wielding, the big announcement will probably be that it is also coming to the “flat” game.
Am I deaf or is there no time window given for when during the day the stream will actually take place in this entire TikTok?
Not sure if I’ll be able to make it to the stream since I am not able to spend this entire day at home refreshing socials.
And then there’s the usual pessimist in me expecting the stream to say not much more beyond re-announcing unreleased parts of current roadmap and teasing expected types of content (ETs, FCs, challenges, maybe a celebrET) without much detail. But I’ll be happy to be proven wrong here.
They’ve created a “live event” thing on TikTok. It’s in just over four hours and is going to run for two hours.
Shame that they left it so late to release the timing if they’ve got something decent to announce, because no one is going to know when the stream is live. If these events have been there for a bit of time, then this is a terrible way to announce the timings as people that want to know the timings have only just seen these events - so the casual player base is going to have no clue at all.
