Hitman 3 - Year 2 Update (Jan 20, 2022)

But this is not about a roadmap for a month but a roadmap for a year, so that pattern doesn’t make sense for me in this case. And like I did post above, the Year 2 news are not coming early January, just ET Arcade news.

ET Arcade is a part of Year 2 thing, and I see no point for IOI to release big news by little portions every month till January 2023

No but IOI says that we can expect to hear Year 2 news early 2022 and ET Arcade early January 2022.

We actually don’t know how much they’ll reveal on Jan 20th. We’re hoping for a full year plan, but they might just reveal things month-by-month as usual

It may just be a case of a bad sentence. People are taking “Early January” as not only gospel fact but every day since the 1st of the month there’s been posts about how hard it is to keep waiting. The 20th (when we know that the current roadmap ends and something will be announced) is only 10 days away. Let’s just be patient and let IOI release info when they’re ready to release it.

Maybe they thought they could say something when they really can’t.
Maybe they just misspoke.
Maybe they have a few bug fixes or something to finish up so they don’t want to say anything until they have that done.
Maybe, maybe, maybe.

Info will be released when it’s ready to be released.

This is equally true.

It’ll happen no matter what, and you’ll get hyped if it’s revealed now or on the 20th. We arent really owed any sneak peeks, so what does it matter anyhow

So, full roadmap for whole year. Sounds insane, but then again we had something similar back in 2019 with Bank and Haven. Looking forward for what they have up their sleeves.

So there’s our teaser.

Cool. We’ll know what to expect this year. I still think there should be some update on the 20th to expect, or how else are they going to implement ET Arcade and etc.

But ok cool I’m guessing the first new map will come out in Spring 2022.

Was from the very start, and you can see it on the trailer announcement too.

At this point I presume that they are doing the same like HITMAN 2 2019 roadmap, where big updates have been released only after 2-3 months (more or less of course).

HITMAN 3 also had the same treatment. Game released in January 2021 and the first big DLC (7DS) announced and released after 2 months.

This doesn’t mean that it will happen again the same thing, but I don’t expect nothing “big” or “new” on January if not for VR and Elusive Targets already announced for this month.

Careful with wording there. IOI has used the word “roadmap” for the month-to-month detailed dates for Elusive Targets, new escalations, seasonal content, etc.

Another usage of “roadmap” may be a full year outlook for new modes, that ET Arcade thing, the maps, etc.

I think it’s unrealistic to anticipate that on the 20th we’ll get a full schedule of the next 52 weeks’ detailed content, but we should get a pretty good view of what the next 12 months will bring.

That’s not what they said lol. They said thats when those things will be released, not when you will have news about them

Roadmap for a whole year might also be a dumb idea since things might get changed or scrapped in development. H2 DLC roadmap had Mumbai ghost mode and a Halloween season featured. And did you ever get those? :face_with_monocle:

We did get a disclaimer that all those was not solid and might change anytime.
It’s better know what’s coming in a long perspective, even if it might not come, than being in a whole dark

ooooh full reveal soon excited

Yeah, that’s what I mean, not exact, detailed, month-to-month schedule. More like generally what to expect. I’m curious, will we get more than 1 new map, that being hideout? I don’t think it’s gonna be for each 3 months a new map, more likely 2 maps, 1 Patient Zero style campaign, and maybe some season content for Christmas and Halloween. I’m just guessing. I’m honestly more curious about changes they are planning to make.

I’m expecting another small teaser this week, but the real bomb is going to be dropped by the end of the next week. Makes sense from a marketing perspective to get people hyped at the end of the current roadmap which coincidentally also marks the end of the first year of the game being exclusive on EPIC.

I bet the majority of people are hyped since the announcement of the announcement have been received
