HITMAN 3 - Modding Thread

I’m hoping it was just a mistake. No way they remove him on purpose… Well, I hope at least. It’s good we can use mods to restore him anyways for now. Has anyone messaged IOI’s support about him being missing?

Travis is aware…

And that was the end of July… They really take their time with fixing the game’s issues.
I’m wondering if they are planning to release one big-ass update for all platforms when the Steam version also gets released.

I think you could be in the Fan Club and still like his Death, just as a Story Devise of course and not as a way to finally get rid of the Character, because he served his purpose/reached his Life Goal etc.

It’s okay :relaxed: but I knew that you find it annoying that he’s missing in the cutscene, that’s why I tagged you (and I agree here. It’s not only because I love Grey, it’s just annoying seeing this empty boat driving away)

I was always thinking that they likely removed him because as they swapped his head model in H3, that model (and more) were missing a head, so instead of fixing it I guess they just removed the character completely

That really make a lot of sense. Maybe they removed him as you said but temporarily and planned to add him back, which explains the poncho outfit in chunk7 (Poncho Grey seems to be the only cinematic outfit from in game cutscene). But somehow they forget or just being lazy and didn’t add him back.

Seeings maps at “unintended” times of days really makes me notice how much work they have to put into maps to make them work at different times of day.

someone know if it is possible to change all non chinese guard in Chonqing to chinese guards? something with change face or something?

It is possible, and I may be doing that for a ‘bonus mission’ in Chongqing

The main problem is there are no Chinese guard voicelines though. So instead of asking you to surrender they say nothing, and they shoot you. And you’ll have no idea if you’re approaching a trespass zone because they just stare at you

wow thats cool but what do you mean Bonus mission? you cant do it in End of Era in Online?
and you right no chinese guard voiceline also the chinese guards in Ica facility speak in english but i think its ok cuz in Hokkaido the japanese guard speak english too (i so wish they will bonus mission congqing that all be chinese)

I think its good idea and if can add some chinese music in the background or atleast in the restaurant thats can be very cool

Persistent shortcut doors have been stripped of their shortcut properties.
They now look and work like regular doors.
Two different versions:
Normal: Always unlocked
Locked: Requires a lockpick or a crowbar to be used on the outside. It becomes unlocked if passed through from the inside.
(Haven’t tested yet, but this might create an imbalance of the disposable lockpicks in Romania.)
Only thing changed are the two door .TEMPs and .TBLUs. i.e. It doesn’t conflict with mission mods.

To do:

  1. Replace the door in Mendoza’s garden with an iron gate.
Perhaps look into custom doors for some of the others as well, but for now I think they look fine as they are.

You’re a saint, that’s a great mod!

Now that’s what I love to see.
To be honest permanent shortcuts and keypad doors are my main gripes in this game and that fixes half of those problems.
I’m definitely using this when I buy H3 later on Steam

By the way is it possible from technical standpoint to mod keypad doors into keycard doors so that you need a key hacker to unlock them?

What would neat for the keypad doors is a way to randomize the codes so they’re still there but you have to put the leg work to find the “real” way. The ones that are printed on walls might not be too bad (Dubai). The ones that are spoken (chongqing) would be harder. There’s a few that aren’t worth changing (Mendoza) because they’re meant to be super obvious.

I wouldn’t see why not. Although it would need some research and testing to get it working. (FTR I’m just answering the question and not volunteering for the job.)

Can you be more specific about which doors are actually issues?

  1. One of Dubai’s keypads is forever unlocked after you use it the first time and complete the level (Behind food bar). One of them was actually removed by IOI for whatever reason (In storage room behind the oil bar). The one in the main hall doesn’t unlock, so that one can be a bit annoying.
  2. Chongqing has two very easy (4 digits, 2 numbers) codes that open 7 different doors. (From a gameplay perspective having them forever locked without the use of a keycard scrambler wouldn’t be smart.)
  3. All other keypads are codes to open safes and a laser grid to a restricted room, which I personally dont find hindering.

Wait, which one did they remove?

This one.
